Thoroughly enjoyed music on this dvd as well as the taped performances. Was not too familiar with dusty's music so i did not know what to expect. Enjoyed her voice and her ability to cover songs like they were written specifically for her.

Dusty Springfield Reflections DVD is just Fantastic '' What a review of her of this divas great music. The 17 classic songs is truely a show of Dusty at her Very Best !

5 stars AT LAST - DUSTY ON DVD!!!
Finally we have Dusty Springield on DVD singing some of her greatest songs. A very rare version of "I Only Want To Be With You" from an Ed Sullivan show with Dusty singing it differently to the hit version. There is a wonderful version of "Son Of A Preacher Man" (in Colour) from a Tom Jones show, Dusty looks radiant! In between songs we have Petula Clark & BJ Thomas making intelligent comments on Dusty and her talent. There is also a complete Dutch tv show featuring Dusty lip-synching to many familiar songs, however the rest is all "LIVE" and Dusty was never better than on stage. A most welcome release!

Is this a valuable release for Dusty Springfield completists? Certainly; none of the 18 songs are too easy to find elsewhere, with seven of them never having appeared in the U.S. before this CD, and eight of them previously unreleased anywhere. Do they comprise a musically strong and pleasurable release? Overall, no, even by the standards of rare Springfield material. In a reversal of the way such anthologies usually work, it leads off with the seven least interesting items, all culled from soundtracks and obscure singles and/or duets from the 1980s and 1990s. Although Springfield's voice is OK or better on these, in truth the material and arrangements -- usually leaning very heavily toward MOR and adult contemporary music -- are not only poor and bland, but ill-suited toward her style. Much better are the ten songs from live television performances ...
