"All This Time" was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
"Whenever I Say Your Name" won the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals. "Send Your Love" was nominated for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
On the day that the second live album of Sting's illustrious solo career (and third if you count the Police's 1995 LIVE set) was to be recorded in Tuscany, Italy, the widely respected singer/songwriter/bassist was beset with one of the world's worst horrors of all-time. The show was to be recorded and broadcast live on the web on September 11, 2001, the day of the World Trade Center tragedy. Instead of canceling it altogether, Sting went on with the recording (although the web broadcast was scrapped except for a single song), resulting in the release of the 15-song ALL THIS TIME, just two short months later. Featured are a trio of Police-era classics inventively re-arranged ("Roxanne," "Don't Stand So Close To Me," and "Every Breath You Take"), plus renditions of such solo selections as the expansive "(If You Love Somebody) Set Them Free," "Brand New Day," "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You," and the poignant folk-like ballad "Fields of Gold."
SACRED LOVE seems like the culmination of a process that began 10 years earlier with Sting's TEN SUMMONER'S TALES album. While his first three solo albums were dense, cerebral affairs, that one began a move towards simplification and broader commercial appeal. While SACRED LOVE's predecessor was perhaps Sting's slickest, most pop-oriented album, this one seems to strike an easy balance between his weighty lyrical concerns and a broad-based, accessible sound.
As on his 1999 hit "Desert Rose," Sting uses world rhythms to spice things up here, employing sitar and Middle Eastern percussion on "The Book of My Life." An undercurrent of the R&B feel of BRAND NEW DAY can still be felt here as well, lending ballast to even his airiest harmonic moments. He even reprises the single "Send Your Love" (initially given worldbeat feel) as a percolating electronic dance track at the album's end, and it's perhaps a tribute to his musical facility that it sounds equally effective.

Sacred Love Music Review Average Rating: (4.2 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Sting "Sends his Love" with this terrific CD! Each time Sting has released an album/CD, I have always eagerly anticipated it, but each time, wondered if he could maintain the magical quality of alternative and experimental
(but still accessible) mix of introspective lyrics and compelling musical style. With Sacred Love, he clearly still has it. No matter how much I wonder, he continues to surpass himself each time. I thought I loved each CD the best each time, but this one is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Each song is better than the last! No wonder his AOL IM commercial is so telling (and hilarious!). Sacred Love is more than a superior effort. It is beyond compare! Submitted by xenatikkanen (Champaign-Urbana, Illinois) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
An Emotional Interlude Sting's music is never disappointing. 'Sacred Love', is just what my spirit needed. Thank you Sting for reassuring and comforting through your music.

Soul Stirring Music!!! Sting does again and again with this soul stirring CD. The lyrics are moving and easy to the ear. Great CD. Submitted by jejr9 (Irvine) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
A nice blend rythms, some better than others
I thought this was a pretty good, but
not one Sting's best. His Grammy
award winning song Whenever I Call
Your Name, I thought would have been
better, had he used Joy Rose his
backup singer throughout this C.D.
Of course he did win a grammy for it,
go figure! My personal favorite was
Stolen Car(Take Me Dancing). A very
imaginative tune, about a car thief
and his fantasys, while taking a rich
man's car. Send Your Love, a Techno
Tune, is different for Sting. Forget
About The Future is a good Funk tune,
with Sting's really imaginative lyrics.

Food For The Soul Sting is truly a gifted artist. He has the power to express himself on everyday matters in such a inspirational and soul searching way that is unique. In a world where commercial pop music rules and art gets stuffed into some miscellaneous drawer he still manages to put across his talents for the art with universal appeal. That said if your are looking for what is current, without focus or depth, narrow and limited.....keep moving as there will be nothing here for you. Sacred Love CD music
$11.05 TRAIN OF THOUGHT continues the legacy of the progressive metal legends, with all the requisite superhuman metallic musicianship that their fans have come to expect. This outing continues in the heavier mode that began with 2002's SIX DEGREES OF INNER TURBULENCE, reaching even further into darker, personal lyrical themes.
Guitars are the dominant expressive voice here, with keyboards scaled considerably back from the signature ...

This 1994 greatest hits package (released in anticipation of the band's wildly successful reunion tour and album) supplants THEIR GREATEST HITS 1971-1975. It adds seven songs, but unfortunately deletes "Already Gone," one of their best rockers.
