| | Bubba Sparxxx Deliverance CD Bubba Sparxxx Discography of CDs
(28 Customer Reviews)
Athens, Georgia's first superstar MC, Bubba Sparxxx, returns with this highly impressive offering. Under the guidance of producer/mentor Timbaland, Bubba's follow-up to 2001's DARK DAYS, BRIGHT NIGHTS finds the white rapper elevating his game to a whole new level. While this can most obviously be attributed to Timbaland's stunningly inventive fusion of country and hip-hop, credit also goes out to Bubba himself. Focusing on more sobering subject matter, Bubba proves that an MC can be frank and honest yet still maintain an air of hardness. "Comin' Round," "She Tried," and "Deliverance" find Bubba exploring matters of lower-class conflict, including fatherhood and lost love. Outkast collaborators Organized Noize provide electrifying backup tracks on "New South" and "Back in the Mud," two anthems that showcase Bubba's ability to speak for an entire culture. With such strong performances by Bubba and Timbaland, DELIVERANCE is a work of two artists at their musical prime. A new South, indeed.

Bubba's Best Album Yet This album is much much better than Bubba's first album. The Kuntry vibe is now polished off and comes off strong and smooth. The blend of country instruments and hip hop beats are perfectly complimentary, which is completely unexpected. This CD caught me completely off guard and I'm a little upset that I waited so long to buy it.
In fact, I compare this album to sitting around sipping a good bourbon on the rocks; it goes down smooth but has a clean bite to it. Submitted by vj_barnes (Athens, GA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Most Underrated Album EVER! This is literally one of the greatest hi-hop albums of all time. It is almost a whole new genre. Bubba is incredible and the beats amazing. Deliverance album
$12.05 AND THEN THERE WAS X was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and "Party Up" was nominated for Best Rap Solo Performance.
No other rapper exerts quite as much energy as Def Jam heavyweight DMX. With his adrenaline-pumped hip-hop anthems, Yonkers native DMX has taken the hip-hop industry by storm. His third album, AND THEN THERE WAS X came only one year after his highly-anticipated second album, FLESH OF MY FLESH..., which came only six months after his multi-platinum debut, IT'S DARK AND HELL IS HOT. With this series of rapid-fire releases, DMX was able to remain on the cutting edge of rap.
"What's My Name?" perhaps most clearly demonstrates the power of the Ruff Ryder frontman. The other Swizz Beatz-produced tracks bring forth more of the same flavor. His rough-edged lyrics and spitfire delivery will leave his "dogs" foaming at the mouth for more. Though X is backed by one of hip-hop's ...

Deliverance CD music
$15.95 Includes an untitled hidden track at the end of THE LOVE BELOW CD.
Additional personnel includes: Sleepy Brown, Jazze Pha, Jay-Z, Killer Mike, Big Gipp, Ludacris, Rosario Dawson, Norah Jones, Kelis, Cee-Lo, Lil Jon, Mello, Slim Calhoun, Kuhjo Goodie.

Simply put, there is no band that does anything close to what Outkast does. Big Boi & Andre 3000 have consistently managed to maintain mainstream success while obliterating the limits of what is considered to be hip-hop. Frolicking at the outskirts of language, they throw every genre into a blender and make every musical turn sound organic. ...
| | T I Trap Muzik CD (2003)
Deliverance music CDs
$10.15 On the remarkably vulnerable "I Can't Quit," the second track on his sophomore release, TRAP MUZIK, T.I. observes "I'm this close to being a star and just this close to quitting." His 2001 debut, I'M SERIOUS, seemed a powerful can't-miss record with a title single featuring an ace turn by Beenie Man. While it didn't wholly miss, the single which should have been pumpin' around the world barely saw a lick of airplay, and while the album sold modestly, it didn't even approach the platinum level lesser talents achieved with ease.
No matter though, T.I.'s back with a vengeance on TRAP MUZIK, an appealing melange of subtle beats and easy flows which belie the Georgia rapper's vast lyrical intellect. While there are aspects of the Dirty South in T.I.'s ...
| | Ludacris Chicken & Beer CD (2003)
Deliverance songs
$10.45 This is a hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both regular and Super Audio CD players.
In the year leading up to the release of his third disc, CHICKEN & BEER, Ludacris' distinguished drawl could be heard all over the radio on commanding guest appearance after guest appearance, most notably on Missy Elliott's smash "Gossip Folks." Not that he needed any more airplay--his first two major releases already had the Georgian rapper well established as one of the most accomplished Dirty South crossover acts.
CHICKEN & BEER is an apt title for the ravenously hungry record with few moments of sobriety, as Ludacris unleashes his most gentle of furies. In "Southern Fried Intro," he unabashedly ...

The Detroit MC declares his manifesto in the very first song, "Average Man," which speaks for itself; for Trice, his everyday quest ...
