| Bringer Of Blood Music Review Average Rating: (4.6 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews I like it I read around on the 'net that this is total crap but I must say I like it, all of it. Awsome and Fast! Pure Kick Your Butt Metal. Awsome job SFU! We love you and respect what your doing. Keep it up my brothers. My name is Ralph Nadder! Submitted by chimpy (NJ, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
3.5 stars for a slightly disappointing album I only discovered SFU on true carnage, so I was a little disappointed with this album as I found the vocals were not as good/heavy/misunderstandable as true carnage. If I want to actually understand what someone is singing I don't want it done in a growling voice - this growling singing just doesn't cut it. Carnage vocals are much better.
Secondly the mix is wayyyy out with the instruments totally drowned by the vocals. I dig SFU's groove, its a little harder to enjoy it on this album.
Still, 99% better than everything else out there! Submitted by Juan (Wallingford, CT) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Nile In Their Darkened Shrines CD (2002)
Bringer Of Blood songs
$12.75 Call it Discovery Channel metal if you must, but Nile runs circles around the majority of death metal acts that churn out cookie-cutter records crammed with juvenile gore-splattered lyrics and incomprehensible blastbeats. While their third full-length, In Their Darkened Shrines, finds these genre-leaders advancing their sound in minute increments from previous platters Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka and Black Seeds of Vengeance, all can be forgiven when taking into account Nile's staggering, well-researched thematic depth and impressive musicianship. Plus, like Black Seeds, the CD booklet details ...
| | Morbid Angel Heretic CD (2003)
Bringer Of Blood album
$13.69 Initial pressings of HERETIC included a bonus CD of previously unreleased tracks, BONUS LEVELS.
Few death metal bands live on as long as Morbid Angel. Over the years, the Florida headbangers changed labels, parted way with their lead singer, and endured varying levels of popularity as their style of music fell in and out of favor among metalheads. Yet despite all the ups and downs over the years, Morbid Angel continued to make music, record albums, and tour extensively. In fact, before the release of Heretic in 2003, they'd toured America with the mighty Pantera and garnered more mass-market exposure than they ever had previously. It's not really a surprise then that Heretic sounds so lively. Veterans or not, Morbid Angel are anything but short on enthusiasm here. Their musicianship is as inventive as ever, especially that of guitar-god Trey Azagthoth, and their songwriting as impassioned as ever, especially that of lyricist/vocalist/bassist Steve Tucker. This is the sound of a band on a mission, ...
| | Cannibal Corpse Wretched Spawn CD (2004) With DVD
Bringer Of Blood CD music
$9.69 For album number nine, Wretched Spawn, Cannibal Corpse continue on with much the same style of gore-themed death metal that had made them a mainstay of the stateside scene for a decade-and-a-half. Bassist Alex Webster and guitarist Jack Owen write most of the songs here, respectively, and those songs are pretty much what you've come to expect from Cannibal Corpse by this point -- musically pulverizing and lyrically unsettling. Vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher is as unrelenting as usual, especially on such songs as "Frantic Disembowelment," where he switches from growling to screaming with seeming ease. Wretched Spawn is overall a pretty brief album, clocking in ...

| | Bill Candy Common Ground CD (2002)
Bringer Of Blood songs
$18.95 If you get a chance to catch Bill Candy live... make sure you get a seat with good sight lines. You won't want to miss any of the action. The action being Bill's ability to bring a song to the audience with a gripping combination of guitar mastery, vocal fluidity and compelling original music and lyrics. Bill's roots go back to the British invasion of the 60's but it was in the 70's that he discovered that he had a passion for the acoustic guitar and the songs of the artists of that period. (Jim Croce, Paul Simon, James Taylor, etc.) His guitar studies took him through just about all aspects of the instrument starting with some classical training at the Royal Conservatory of Music and moving on to a pursuit of the understanding of jazz which even found him taking a semester at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. It seems that the combination of all these styles has given him his own way of playing and accompanying himself that sets him apart from other performers. Up until '93 Bill was active as a soloist as well as being the Harding part of the well-known ...
