From the infamous open-call auditions to the eleventh hour recruitment of former Snot axeman Mike Smith, finding a suitable guitarist to replace Wes Borland proved to be a daunting task for Limp Bizkit. Pushing off somewhat from their trademark rap-metal model, the songs that comprise RESULTS MAY VARY display a band reaching musically.
"Gimme the Mic" carries on the spirit the band found success with on SIGNIFICANT OTHER, but the majority of this latest effort finds frontman Fred Durst and company leaning towards a more melodic and musical stance, both instrumentally and vocally. Nods to contemporaries sneak in on "Eat You Alive" and "Down Another Day," (with a clear Tool influence prevailing), and uber-producer Brendan O'Brien mixes in a crisp, biting production. The lyrics to the classic Who track "Behind Blue Eyes" struck enough of a responsive chord with Durst that he was inspired to cover it, going so far as to add an additional verse. Rap metal may be going the way of the dinosaur, but Limp Bizkit seems to have the staying power to carry on.
THis CD/DVD combo includes a 30 minute bonus DVD with over 30 minutes of raw in your face footage of the band from it's inception until now.
Limp Bizkit: Fred Durst (vocals, guitar); Sam Rivers (guitar, bass); Mike Smith (guitar); Jon Otto (beats); DJ Lethal.
Producers: Fred Durst, Rick Rubin, Terry Date, DJ Lethal.

Limp Bizkit Results May Vary Songs Results May Vary Music Review Average Rating: (4.2 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Another great cd!!! Limp Bizkit has done it again. This is a great cd and the single "I'll eat you alive" is awesome. This cd is more melodic and less rappy, which is good for rock fans. <3 LB No matter what Limp Bizkit does, they will always be the greatest band ever created. Sure some songs were influenced by other bands, but they only make it better. Faith, Sanitarium, Behind Blue Eyes, all perfect songs when performed by LB. You cannot get any better than limp bizkit, if you hate them, it's only because your jealous of their mad fuc*ing skill. The only thing I find to be a coming problem with them is that Durst is starting to try too hard on creating deep lyrics, RMV is a sweet CD, but say whatever comes to your mind, like the first 3. Oh my God ... I just dropped my pants I do not recommend highly of this CD nor am fond of. Get their first three albums or better yet get The Unquestionable Truth, Pt. 1. Fred Durst has really mellowed on this outing. The anthems in comparison to their last outing before Wes Borland's departure are flat after two tracks, that's it. The rest don't even bother! Limpbizkit has died this is not them! When Bizkit came out with Three dollar Bills i was stoked that was the best cd i had ever heard. But over time they lost thier edge, they're no longer a true Rock Band. They're a bunch of sell-outs. Wes did the right thing by leaving. The had 1 awesome cd (3 dollar bills) an pritty good cd (Significant other) and a alright but barley cd (Chocolate starfish) eversince they've sucked. Fred Durst is nothing anymore, The only song i liked on this CD is Blue Eyes and they didn't even write that, THEY COVERED IT!! come on!! all this cd is, is a bunch of kinda nice flowing power chords with Fred Durst Sucking on the mic. The guy has a good voice but has lost his touch on writing lyrics. any amature rock band can top this CD. Sorry but its true. This CD was the biggest Dissapointment i've ever heard from LimpBizkit Submitted by Rob (Janesville, WI) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Results May Vary songs
$18.95 Christopher Williams' third solo album The Silence In Between provides a prime example of why this former preschool teacher should continue making music for a living. The disc's 10 tracks cover a range of emotions, from devotion to a child ("Daughter's Eyes"), to loneliness ("Every Time I Say Goodbye"), to regret ("Ever After"). Williams' introspective lyrics provide a door through which the listener can walk with him. Both musically and lyrically, The Silence in Between is a strong album, full and rich with detail. Williams achieved distinctive effects by bringing Hammond organ, viola, and mandolin into the mix. Contributions from fellow singer/songwriters David Wilcox, Ellis Paul, and Willy Porter add depth and texture to Williams' already fine album. Williams' vocals, dramatic in their subtlety, have a breathy quality which make his lyrics, and his characters, all the more believable. - Dirty Linen MagazineAnthems of self-discovery are, in large part, a singer/songwriter's stock-in-trade. After looking inward and putting words to paper, matching it to a melody, then (usually) wringing musical notes out of a guitar, the time arrives to show people what you've learned. It helps to have a well-honed set of skills to get the message across and it's hard to imagine anyone more well-prepared than Christopher Williams. With a sweet, burr-edged singing voice and a seemingly innate melodic sense, his songs already have a leg up on listenability. In addition, he's contributed as a percussionist with Ellis Paul, and The Folk Monty/The Bixbys (here as a full member/singer/songwriter), so his upbeat songs percolate with an effervescent energy. And, oh yes, the writing. On track two, "Each Other's Blessing," one of the better lines in a declaration of romantic love I've heard recently occurs up front. "I am the bread, you are the wine / We were meant to be broken..." The lines that follow ...
