This DVD feature film stars Kiefer Sutherland, Meg Ryan, Jason Gedrick and Tracy Pollan. Life on the edge of the American Dream. Focusing on the lives of three high school buddies, this picturesque drama is a study of the American Dream gone wrong.
Davey, Danny and Mary are friends from high school. Davey was a basketball star and Mary, his girlfriend. But two years later the two find that what held them together in school has gradually faded.
There's real trouble, however, when outcast Danny returns to Utah with his new wife, a spit-fire whose presence leads to disaster. With high hopes and even higher dreams, four high school graduates hurtle through life's unpredictable turns and harsh realities. The jock, the cheerleader, the apathetic loner, and the wild-tempered one discover that adulthood on the edge of the American Dream is a far cry from the "Promised Land" they had come to expect. The film was shown in competition at the U.S. Film Festival (Currently known as the Sundance Film Festival) in Park City Utah, and developed at Robert Redford's Sundance Institute.
Produced in association with Great American Films Ltd. Partnership.

-- Cart., Variety "...A psychological, poetic portrait of losers and winners in small-town America....The actors' performances and Hoffman's vision are what drive the film along..."

$10.19 EDDIE AND THE CRUISERS: Back in the early 1960s, Eddie and the Cruisers, a (fictitious) rock band, was the hottest act around. However, in 1964 the group broke up, following the apparent suicide of the band's charismatic lead singer Eddie Wilson, who drove off a bridge. His body was never found. After 20 years, TV reporter Maggie Foley decides to do an investigative story on the band. At the same time, she searches for the missing tapes of the group's last recording, which ...

$23.39 Johnny Depp and Christian Bale emerge from two of the biggest blockbuster series of all time (Pirates of the Caribbean and Batman, respectively) to star in this crime drama from HEAT director Michael Mann. Depp stars as charismatic 1930s gangster John Dillinger, whose notorious bank robberies have turned him into a celebrity during the Depression era. The rise in crime has J. Edgar Hoover (Billy Crudup) desperate to have his newly created FBI take down gangsters such as Dillinger, "Pretty Boy" Floyd (Channing Tatum), and "Baby Face" Nelson (Stephen Graham). Enter Agent Melvin Purvis (Bale), an ambitious crimefighter sent to Chicago to capture Dillinger and his gang. The criminal has evaded the law before, but he is drawn to the Second City by the beautiful Billie Frechette (Marion Cotillard).
Though PUBLIC ENEMIES boasts big names, it feels more like an arthouse offering than a typical gangster picture. With its intimately shot ...
