(2 Customer Reviews)
Take a combination of Dave Matthews-like jam-band stylings and Christian alternative rock and you have Big Daddy Weave. Their second album FIELDS OF GRACE is a perfect confluence of the instrumental smarts of the former and the simple, earnest lyrical bent of the latter with its unpretentious faith-based songs and live-in-the-studio feel. But the lyrics, as with all faith-based outfits, are where it's at. And here Big Daddy Weave come up trumps with an approach that combines simplicity and unimpeachable devotion in songs such as the searching "New Every Morning" and the pastoral "Completely Free."
These rockers for Christ have a mission, but they're not out to browbeat. The message on FIELDS OF GRACE is gentle, but consistent. The band sees this collection of songs as our opportunity to begin a closer relationship with God--and they make choosing this option sound several degrees more listenable than some of their more strident contemporaries.

| | Hall & Oates Do It For Love CD (2003)
Fields Of Grace CD music
$11.09 Sure, there's been a lot of water under the bridge since such '80s Hall & Oates hits as "You Make My Dreams Come True," let alone '70s classics like "She's Gone" and "Rich Girl." That doesn't mean that Daryl & John can't still come out swinging in the 21st century. Songs like "Forever For You" and the title track of DO IT FOR LOVE are remarkable in a couple of ways. Not only do they maintain the same kind of blue-eyed-soul flavor that made the Philadelphia duo famous, but in fact they're closer to the sound of classic '70s ...

Fields Of Grace music CDs
$15.39 Can't Stop Dreaming has a rather tangled release history. It was originally issued in Japan in 1999 on the BMG International label, and in 2003 it appeared in America but missing two tracks. Anyway, as those who witnessed the resurgence of Hall & Oates will attest, Hall has never sounded better. His vocal range is all that it once was and more. ...

Around that time Visas for travelling to the US become extremely difficult to get. In order to buy some time he started a NY version of the group (Hi-Lite) to get things going. He teamed up with Terrence Russell who's also a native of Tobago and they ministered in song around the Tri-State area. The group over the next years developed, boasting four-part harmony and made an impact on the local gospel circuit with a cutting edge street sound. Hi-lite eventually shares stage with artist like Witness, Yolanda Adams, Commissioned, Hezekiah Walker & LFC choir, Monique Walker, Ron Winans and so many more.In 1996, the Hi-lite run came to an end and Sam was trying to find himself musically and this is when he decided to venture deeper into his musical roots. Around this time he explored and expanded his musical horizon. Being influenced by the Tobago rhythms and cultures primarily African, Sam decided to do a project which later became known as Soca Therapy. This album introduced Sam as an artist who sings where it surprised people who just knew him as a musician. This album prepared the way for him to perform on WNBC, which was running a telethon for Hurricane George Relief. Here Sam shared stage with Tito Puente, Junior Jazz, Voices of Theory etc. This was 1998. It was on this telethon where Sabra London, a promoter organizing a festival for West Africa saw Sam ...
