Primus - Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People Movie Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) Superbass I like progressive rock and I bought
this DVD because I heard some about
Primus in the radio.I am impressed about the Bass treatment and playing.
The music is very good and the bass
player could enrich the flavour of any
progressive band.Some videos remind me
Frank Zappa humour.

wow.. never thought i would see these videos again all your favorite weird-as-hell primus music videos on dvd. all the best primus songs and their funny and sometimes disturbing music videos. the additional live footage is fun too, especially "those damned blue collared tweekers" from woodstock 94. there's so much stuff on this dvd, worth every penny. my only gripe is that the included cd of new songs is kind of on the sucky side. maybe i need to give it a few more listens, but i'm more of a fan of the older frizzle fry era primus sound rather than this new sound. still, the cd is just an added bonus to the excellent, entertaining dvd. well done, primus. Awsome Now although the CD that came along with this wasn't really all that great in my opinion, the DVD made up for it completely. All the videos spanning from "Frizzle Fry" to "Anti-Pop" it was awsome to see all of those videos. Also, the live preformances you could see were also pretty cool, I love the woodstock footage. But my absolute favorite would have to be, of course, the backstage footage and the "Cheesey Home Video". Absolutely great DVD, and I totally recommend seeing. Or if you know someone who has it, like Primus or not, just see it for how funny it is. Submitted by Kris (Ontario, Canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Excellent DVD and CD value The description above doesn't do justice to what is included in this fantastic package. The CD is over 40 minutes long and the DVD has all their videos and some live footage, totaling over 2 hours. Great stuff at an unbeatable price. $13.89 When is a supergroup not a supergroup? When it's stellar members don't tote along the sonic baggage of their former groups into their new collective endeavor. In that spirit, it's time for the world to meet Oysterhead. This power trio consists of Police drummer Stewart Copeland, Primus bassist/vocalist Les Claypool, and Phish guitarist/Jerry Garcia of the Gen-X set Trey Anastasio. Whether fans of these gents' ...
| | Les Claypool Purple Onion CD (2002)
Primus - Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People review
$10.95 Les Claypool is nothing short of a fringe art genius. With a cult following that has never relied on mainstream promotion or acceptance, the Primus bassist/vocalist forges ahead with his journey into musical madness, Frog Brigade. In typically offbeat Claypool fashion, the Brigade's third album PURPLE ONION was preceded by two live releases.
PURPLE ONION has the instantly endearing quirkiness of YELLOW SUBMARINE and the melodic abandon of JOE'S GARAGE. "Whamola" and "D's Diner" revisit territory forged in Les's Sausage/Primus days, while "Ding Dang" makes a ...

Primus - Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People movie DVD
$10.69 Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains: Les Claypool (bass guitar); Brain (drums); Buckethead, Bernie Worrell.
Even hardcore Primus fans often wondered what vocalist/virtuoso bassist Les Claypool would sound like outside the confines of that band. Claypool first answered the question with all-star band Oysterhead, and then with this album, which pairs him with enigmatic guitarist Buckethead, P-Funk keyboardist Bernie Worrell, and former Primus drummer Brain. (These three have also been involved in the avant-garde supergroup ...
