Being a teenager is hard enough without having to deal with your parents' divorce, your sister's wedding, your best friend's pregnancy, and the death of a friend. And falling in love for the first time? That only makes everything harder. At least that's what 17-year-old Halley Martin (Mandy Moore) discovers during her junior year in high school. A confirmed skeptic on love after dealing with her parent's divorce, Halley doesn't understand how her best friend, Scarlett (Alexandra Holden) can suddenly be head over heels for her first serious boyfriend. Or, for that matter, how her older sister, Ashley (Mary Catherine Garrison), can marry stuffy Lewis (Mackenzie Austin) when they seem to disagree all the time. But when her friendship with a quirky schoolmate, Macon Forrester (Trent Ford), ultimately blossoms into romance, Halley suddenly has to reconsider everything she thought to be true about love. Allison Janney stars as Lydia, Halley's mom, a new divorcee dealing with being dumped for a younger woman by her ultra-hip DJ husband, Len (Peter Gallagher). Clare Kilner (JANICE BEARD: 45 WORDS PER MINUTE) is the director of this coming of age tale.

Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) 5 stars

5 stars One of the best relationship movies ever made
Mandy Moore, the future Lara Croft - Tomb Raider, gives an involved and sublimely accurate performance as the reality stricken young Halley in one of the best movies to come out in its year and one of the best relationship movies ever made. The ensemble cast is extremely superb as a well oiled machine of intertwined relationships repeatedly crashing and repairing itself as they pull themselves through lifes desparate struggles and miscomprehensions. An absolute 5 star must for all movie fans everywhere.

Co-helmed by WALL-E director Andrew Stanton, FINDING NEMO follows Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks), an overprotective clown fish father, as he desperately searches the farthest reaches of the sea for his missing son Nemo. Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (AMORES PERROS) directs this staggeringly intense drama concerning three families whose lives fatefully intertwine through a series of tragic events. With jumbled chronology that jumps from one shocking event to the next in an increasingly chaotic maelstrom, 21 GRAMS is relentlessly gritty in its content and its aesthetics. The title refers to the amount of weight that a human body loses ...

MAN ON FIRE: John Creasy (Denzel Washington) is a lost soul. A former government operative, he has become an alcoholic nomad, endlessly searching for inspiration and redemption. An old friend (Christopher Walken) who lives in Mexico gets Creasy a job as a bodyguard for nine-year-old Lupita "Pita" Ramos (Dakota Fanning), the daughter of Mexican Samuel (Marc Anthony) and his American wife Lisa (Radha Mitchell). Creasy's primary job is to protect Pita from the kidnapping attempts that are an increasing menace to the children of Mexico City's wealthy. A man of few words and many secrets, Creasy initially balks at Pita's attempts to befriend him, but soon a bond grows between the precocious child and the lonely man who is tormented by his past. When Pita is kidnapped despite Creasy's valiant attempts to save her, he will do anything to bring all of those involved to justice. In the process, his fury unravels a net of almost unimaginable corruption and greed. Director Tony Scott (TOP GUN, CRIMSON TIDE) builds the relationship between Creasy and Pita in the first half of the film in order to justify Creasy's violent actions in the latter half, and does a fine job of keeping the film's tension consistently high. HIDE AND SEEK: Dakota Fanning and Robert De Niro slug it out for top acting honors in this creepy psychodrama. After his wife is found dead in the bathtub, Manhattan ...
