A decade has passed since John Connor haleped prevent Judgment Day and saved mankind from mass destruction. Now 25, Connor lives "off the grid" - no home, no credit cards, no cell phone and no job. No record of his existance, so he can't be traced by Skynet, the highly developed network of mahines that once tried to kill him and wage war on humanity. Out of the shadows steps the T-X, Skynet's most sophisticated cyborg killing machine yet, sent back through time to complete the job. Returning for a third bout of cyborg time travelling, Arnold Schwarzenegger reprises his good-robot role from TERMINATOR 2, once again travelling back from the future to protect future human resistance leader John Connor (played this time around by Nick Stahl). We soon discover that Connor has become something of a drifter, his mother Sarah Connor has passed away, and he has taken to the road in order to preserve himself for his supposed destiny. When Connor breaks into a lab to score some painkillers, he unwittingly runs into his future belle Kate Brewster (Claire Danes), and a whole load of titanium-plated-trouble in the form of a hot female Terminator played by newcomer Kristanna Loken. Hell-bent on destroying Connor, Brewster, and anyone else that gets in her way, Loken's Terminator comes face to face with Schwarzenegger's Terminator leading to some epic battles between the two cyborgs, and a neat string of one-liners from Schwarzenegger.
Director Jonathan Mostow (U-571) clearly relishes upping the CGI ante for this explosive sequel, providing some no-holds-barred action sequences. Mostow also offers intriguing storylines continued from the previous two films, delighting fans of the franchise. In the chaotic final sequences Schwarzenegger warns "she'll be back," hinting that there's more Terminator frenzy to come in the not-too-distant future. Theatrical Release Date: July 2, 2003 Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines Reviews: "...The stunning Loken's liquid-metal performance as the T-X easily holds its own against the franchise's baddies past, while Stahl and the always-engaging Claire Danes do respectable work..."
-- Michael Tunison, Box Office "...Viewers will be pleased to find out that yet more dastardly shape-shifting awaits them in T3..."
-- Stephen Farber, Movieline's Hollywood Life "Arnie's most satisfying romp since 1994's TRUE LIES."
-- Matthew Leyland, Sight and Sound "...That T3 fulfils its assignment so ably is a triumph of brain taking over where brawn can no longer prevail....[With] bright, heavy metal charm, unexpectedly lively and self-aware wit..."
-- Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly "...Stan Winston's creature effects are first-rate....[Mostow] propels the narrative with the same zippy B-movie energy he brought to his smaller-scaled BREAKDOWN and U-571....T3 is good enough to warrant a T4..."
-- Peter Travers, Rolling Stone "...Schwarzenegger still looks spectacular..."-- Mike Clark, USA Today "...An expertly paced and efficient sci-fi thrill machine, T3 effectively marries impressive action sequences with persuasive storytelling..."
-- Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times "...T3 delivers the goods. A hard-hitting, straight-ahead sci-fi actioner..."
-- Todd McCarthy, Variety

Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines Video Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines Movie Review Average Rating: (3.7 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews T-3 The last chapter? This is a must have for any true Terminator fan. The film paces well, though T3 seems to be more of a continuation of T2 than part three in a series. Even so, the action is great the effects are top notch, and the story line is coherent. Submitted by keeperoftherings (Greensboro, NC USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
don't think about 1 & 2 ofcourse 1 & 2 are much better than this. BUT T3 is standing alone itself and very good film i guess. do not compare to previous ones, u know. this film is the film. and it's still good. i don't think it's less action. not full of action though but it's still good AS's action. and the story is also good. you can enjoy this if you don't compare to any. one more thing, i wanted john conner (edwerd furlong) back...... Not as the T2, but still an excellent movie! Definitely Terminator is one of the best action-packed movies ever, here u'll b able to know what happens 10 years later from T2 (for me the best action movie ever!), about the Judgment Day. Definitely a must have for all Arnold's fans, Terminator fans, good movies lovers, action movie fans, and all the cyborg universe. Get the trilogy if u can!!! I had to get use to this movie. When I listen other than watch the action I was more involed and this made the film more enjoyable for me.
I personally would have chosen a diffrent actress as the Terminatrix. Certainly change her hair style.
Special effects were excellent in the movies and even better on my HD TV.
HDTV big screen is the way to see this.
I am glad it was made. Check out the one on one fight between the Terminator and Terminatrix in the bathroom. Better that the first movies bathroom fight.
By the way this movie has lots of action, stunts and special effects. No CGI. All those machines were real(see special features). Its a must have. Submitted by Vince O (Tampa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
GOOD MOVIE I TOUGHT THIS WOULD BE THE BEST TERMINATOR OUT OF ALL 3, BUT IT WASN'T NEARLY AS GOOD AS TERMINATOR 2. I STILL GIVE IT 5 STARS BECAUSE I LOVE THE STORY, THE ACTION, AND THE SPECIAL EFFECTS. Submitted by TERMINATOR FAN (NEW YORK) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
