This collection from the Water Music Dance label has got to be one of the best trance collections I own. Both discs are mixed flawlessly and the songs are a combination of melodic female and instrumental trance with a touch of hard trance thrown in for good measure. If you enjoy artists such as DJ Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren you'll love this collection. An incredible 2-cd compilation that you'll never want to take out of your cd player!!!

No collection is complete without this awesome cd! You only have one chance to make a good impression, and this one is great. Other Trance albums need to copy this series's formula because this line has it all. You will listen to this again and again. If your local night club DJ has a clue, they will play this (and vol. 2)to really give you an experience you won't forget.

So a friend got me into this one, and I didn't even know it was a Two CD set! So Disc One is saturated with hits you'd hear on a lot of compilations, but this one has some that aren't so overused and the elements keep it fresh. CD Two on the other hand has mostly unknown artists to most people, but there are still some good ones in there, although there are some that are just so darned repetitive!!! But this comp is worth a listen.

Four years after his successful first album for Rephlex, Pierre Bastien is back with more automaton tunes and palindromic titles. His technique remains the same -- i.e., producing music played by mechanical contraptions, each automaton usually making one or two sounds, the composer's art residing in both designing the "players" and arranging their "contributions" into orchestrated pieces. It seems complicated on paper, but it actually sounds effortless, and that is only one of the wonders in Bastien's music. Tubes fitted with carefully placed spikes rotate above a keyboard to play chords and spiked wheels strike guitar strings, while other devices activate a turntable, blow into a trumpet, and hit various percussion instruments -- all this in time and in tune. The music has a childlike feel, with a certain Hans Reichel quality in the melodies.
