 NGDB is at the top of the class!
If you own the three Circle albums - especially the two last ones - you might want to add a copy of this DVD to your record collection,too. On the other hand, if you don't own the individual albums, this concert is enough. The playing and singing is fantastic with NGDB playing on all the tracks, but they know when to take the backseat and when to take the center stage. The sound is loud and clear and in many respects this bluegrass marathon shows just how adept the band's individual members are on a great many and diverse instruments - stringed or otherwise. John McEuen's banjo playing has never been better. The guest appearences include wonderful performances by the following singer/songwriters Rosanne Cash, John Hiatt, Matraca Berg, Vince Gill, Taj Mahal & Alison Krauss to name but af few. A big surprise is the duet "The Lowlands" between Jaime Hanna and Jonathan McEuen, whose voices seem to intertwine as the most natural thing in the world. Great instrumental support is given by Jerry Douglas plus Randy & Earl Scruggs. The bonus material includes excellent "behind-the-scenes" stuff and interviews about the making of the last circle album. Enjoy!

An excellent dvd. The quality of music, sound, lightning, production and direction of the dvd are excellent. The band and guests are at their best. Congratulations.
