Decade Of The Nail-Spiked Bat Music Jag Panzer Decade Of The Nail-Spiked Bat Songs Decade Of The Nail-Spiked Bat Music Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) Nice compilation This along with Thane to the Throne and Mechanized Warfare were my first Jag Panzer discs. Overall I really like all three. I come from the "old school" metal days. So if you like Maiden and Priest this will be right up your alley. Submitted by vduncan (SW Ohio) Was This Review Helpful? Not a Bad Decade for Panzer This double cd recording is pretty good, re-recordings sound great and there are some good songs here. I can't really pinpoint what's missing from this CD and I can't give it 5 stars, but it is well worth the cost ($15 through CD Universe) and fans of Panzer through the years should really appreciate this offering. Buy this CD!! Submitted by Steve (Western Colorado, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
20 PANZER TRACKS ETCHED INTO PERFECTION Jag Panzer returns again with yet another creatively ambitious effort (20 cuts and 2 cds) that is as much "retro" as it is forward-looking. Mark Briody and his company batallion have raided their old demos and even a couple of their first full length albums (Ample Destruction,Dissident Alliance) and brought the "oldies but goodies" into the studio for a rip-roaring grind-em-up spit-polishing. I have always loved the sound of this band and "Decade of the Nail-Spiked Bat" sees them delivering a double album's worth of melodic yet gut-crunching metal...REAL metal. The influences are apparent (Dio, Iron Maiden, Metal Church, NWOBHM etc) yet not over-bearing as Jag Panzer cut their teeth on their very own incisor-gnawed sound long ago. This band has an uncanny knack for creating quirky riffs that never seem awkward, are impeccably conceived, and pack one hell of a face-slapping whallop. Harry Conklin, one of metal's most distinctive & underrated vocalists is in his finest form and the screams, wails, and snarls punctuate the hair- raising din in much the same way a sharpened steak knife initiates a down home bloodletting for the family pig. More than ever, he sounds like an inspired almalgamation of Dio, Bruce Dickinson, & Paul Dianno with a bit of Halford & Eric Adams thrown in for good measure. Heavy Metal, in its' purest and only true form should be loud & proud, empowering, skillfully played, and delivered with an in-your-face, jaw-popping swagger. Jag Panzer clearly succeeds on ALL fronts as "all senses pounded flat" would tend to indicate. For the false metal hearted, beware, the Panzer Patrol will seek you out and roll you out flatter than Mr. Bill's dogskin rug. You will find no nu-metal, rap metal or any other sacriligious incarnate of metal's undying spirit here, this band is only for the axe-wielding mighty. Long live Panzer and may those who oppose find nothing but a deserters welcome at the front door of a fully loaded, well aimed, & bad-intentioned M-16.

Decade Of The Nail-Spiked Bat
$8.95 Black Sabbath: Ozzy Osbourne (vocals); Tony Iommi (guitar); Geezer Butler (bass instrument); Bill Ward (drums). With Paranoid, Black Sabbath perfected the formula for their lumbering heavy metal. On its follow-up, Master of Reality, the group merely repeated the formula, setting the stage for a career of recycling the same sounds and riffs. But on Master of Reality Sabbath still were fresh and had a seemingly endless supply of crushingly heavy riffs to bludgeon their audiences ...

Decade Of The Nail-Spiked Bat
$8.89 Black Sabbath: Ozzy Osbourne (vocals); Tony Iommi (guitar); Geezer Butler (bass instrument); Bill Ward (drums). Paranoid was not only Black Sabbath's most popular record (it was a number one smash in the U.K., and "Paranoid" and "Iron Man" both scraped the U.S. charts despite virtually nonexistent radio play), it also stands as one of the greatest and most influential heavy metal albums of all time. Paranoid refined ...

Recorded at Ardmore Studios in Dublin, Ireland in January 2002. You knew the Corrs had made it when they played the final JFK Awards ceremony of the Clinton administration.
