A mother and her teenage daughter fight over everything until two fortune cookies make them switch bodies. Stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Loran. DVD special features include an alternate ending, deleted scenes, music videos, bloopers.

A remake of the 1976 classic, this story of mother-daughter body-switching features impressive and entertaining performances from established star Jamie Lee Curtis and teen actress Lindsey Lohan. Curtis plays Tess Coleman, a widowed psychiatrist juggling her job and family while planning her second marriage. Lohan plays her rebellious rocker daughter Anna, who disapproves of her mom's wedding plans. Complete opposites, Tess and Anna are forced to understand each other's perspectives when one night, after bickering at a Chinese restaurant, they wake up in each other's bodies under a fortune-cookie curse. A hilarious series of physical comedy routines ensues, as Tess must deal with Anna's high school and Anna must cope with Tess's adult responsibilities. To make matters worse, this all happens on the same day of Tess's rehearsal dinner and Anna's band audition for the House of Blues. In a challenging role that requires her to slouch, curse, and flirt like a teenager, Jamie Lee Curtis is a comic genius.

Freaky Friday Reviews:

"The premise may be magical, but there's enough psychological realism here to give audiences from pre-teens to adults plenty to think about." -- Vicky Wilson, Sight and Sound

"[L]ively entertainment, thanks largely to the fun Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan have in their roles."-- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

"FREAKY FRIDAY remains something of a rarity: a remake that not only lives up to its predecessor, but improves on it." -- Neil Smith, Total Film

"...A quick-witted, perfectly modulated family farce with a pair of beautifully matched performances from Ms. Lohan and especially Ms. Curtis, who does some of her best work ever..." -- A. O. Scott, New York Times

"...Curtis is one of the funniest and most natural screen presences around....It all adds up to belly laughs aplenty and a rollicking good time..." -- Claudia Puig, USA Today

"...Watching Curtis gently cut loose is one of the low-key pleasures of the winsome generational comedy FREAKY FRIDAY..." -- Manohla Dargis, Los Angeles Times

"...A funny, shrewd, no-bull family comedy....Curtis' empathy with girlhood, and her wry pleasure in womanhood, is all about grace..." -- Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly

"...Curtis and Lohan evince exceptional comedic timing and a keen ability to ape one another's characteristics..." -- Francesca Dinglasan, Box Office

5 stars A Top Two
This movie is tied as my top #1 and #2 with Pirates of the Carribean. I give both 5 stars. This movie is OUTSTANDING!!!!! If you don't have it, GET IT!!! I saw it about 5 times in theaters and knew it by heart before it was out!! It is really funny. I think that both Jamie Lee Curtis and Linsey Lohan do an excellant job in it.

Co-helmed by WALL-E director Andrew Stanton, FINDING NEMO follows Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks), an overprotective clown fish father, as he desperately searches the farthest reaches of the sea for his missing son Nemo. Marlin's journey leads him beyond the Great Barrier Reef into deeper and darker waters, where he meets Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), a forgetful yet optimistic blue tang, and a number of not-so-friendly--and often very hungry--aquatic creatures. Meanwhile, little Nemo finds himself in a dentist's fish tank in Syndey, Australia, along with other underwater captives, including Gill (Willem Dafoe), the group's scarred Moorish idol leader. As Nemo works with his new friends on a plan to escape their tank, Marlin and Dory swim closer, but they'll need more than just fins to get into the dentist's office. This fifth computer-animated outing by Pixar continues the company's remarkable winning streak that began with TOY STORY. Like other Pixar films, FINDING NEMO features a story with heart--this time, a father-and-son tale--and thoroughly charming leads--in this case, Marlin, Nemo, and Dory. And, of course, there's an army of fascinating supporting characters, including Bruce (Barry Humphries), a great white shark on a no-fish diet; Crush (director/screenwriter Stanton), a surfer-dude sea turtle; Peach (Allison Janney), a stuck-to-the-aquarium starfish; and Nigel (Geoffrey Rush), ...

Loosely inspired by the time-honored Disney theme-park ride, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL is a swashbuckling high-seas tale directed by Gore Verbinski. When Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), an eccentric rogue, arrives at Port Royal, he barely avoids going down with his ship. Soon enough, he's in the market for a new one, but not before he saves the life of Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), the beautiful daughter of the governor (Jonathan Pryce). This act of bravery sets into motion a sweeping adventure involving Elizabeth's childhood friend, blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom); a mysterious medallion; and a legendary pirate ship, the Black Pearl. The Pearl's mottled Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) wants Elizabeth's doubloon necklace, and when she's kidnapped by the ol' salty dog and his crew, Sparrow and young Will must rescue her and find out the truth behind the ship's curse. Verbinski's PIRATES is a welcome throwback to ...

The Force is with us in EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH, the final chapter of the six-part STAR WARS series, which began a long time ago (1977) in a galaxy far, far away... and is now complete in its cyclical perfection. This visually awe-striking kaleidoscope of interplanetary imagination features the unmatched digital animation and special effects of George Lucas's Industrial Light and Magic. With pink and orange skies casting a golden sheen over magnificent landscapes through which space ships dart and light sabers flash, the spectacle of the film, while hypnotizing, is but a complement to the intense, crucial plot. Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) remains the Jedi apprentice of master Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). Battling dark forces that threaten the Republic, the duo quickly eliminates enemy Count Dooku (Christopher Lee), and Anakin proves--as he states more than once--that his powers have doubled. An intimidating warrior with superior knowledge of the Force, Anakin becomes the pet of Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), who is connected to the dark side. Meanwhile, Padme (Natalie Portman), the senator and former queen who is secretly married to Anakin, is pregnant, and Anakin is tortured by dreams of her dying in childbirth. With Obi-Wan on Utapau battling cyborg General Grievous (Matthew Wood), and Yoda ...
