Closed Captioned; Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French A dark return visit to L. Frank Baum's astonishing world of Oz.
After clicking her red shoes together and finally returning to Kansas, Dorothy finds that, in fact, there is someplace better than home -- especially when her family concludes that
any girl who keeps insisting that she's visited a magical kingdom isn't right in the head. So young Dorothy journeys back into the magical realm of Oz, only to find a crumbling yellowbrick road and the Emerald City in an advanced state of decay. This sequel to THE WIZARD OF OZ adheres to author L. Frank Baum's wonderful fantasy novels as Dorothy returns to Oz where she battles a powerful Gnome King and a vain witch. Helping her are a cute robot named Tik Tok, a gangly jack 'o' lantern, and a talking chicken. Some material may be frightening for very young children. Academy Award Nominations: Best Visual Effects. Return To Oz Reviews: "...Dorothy's second voyage to the Emerald City employs an amusement park full of imaginative characters and special effects..."

Return To Oz Movie Review Average Rating: (4.2 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Awesome movie, but a bit creepy I haven't watched this in years, just ordered it yesterday. This is such a good movie. It's dark and twisted, but if I recall correctly, it has some funny parts also. The wheelers and Princess Mombi scared the heck out of me when I was little. I've read some other reveiws on other sites also, and I'm not the only one who thought they were creepy. I love great movies like this that alot of people havent seen.A must buy, especially if you're a fan of Fairuza Balk. Submitted by tat2edtomato87 (Newport,RI) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
A Classic from childhood This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, and seeing again, it really brings good memories!
The only bad point, itīs that it doesnīt have a good image at times, it seems that Disney didnīt put so much effort in launching this title, and this dvd donīt have interesting bonus features Submitted by Luis Parker (Mexico City) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

A really GREAT movie!!! I was so glad to see in other people's comments that they remembered this movie from childhood and love it as much as I do! It is so creepy and exciting! I absolutely love the lunch-box tree and the talking rocks. They are only two of the many, many best parts of this movie. I absolutely recommend this movie to people of all ages! (Maybe not for TOO young!) I can't say enough good things about this movie! Submitted by amyclark09 (Gananoque, ON, Canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
