Filmed on Sept. 1, 2001, "U2 Go Home" is the first ever release to feature U2 playing to a home crowd in Ireland. Following an 80 date sell-out world tour, U2 headed home for two extraordinary outdoor shows at Slane Castle in Ireland, where the band played to a total of over 160,000 people. Includes a bonus track, DVD-ROM and special features includes a U2 calendar, screensavers, weblinks and 3 songs shot on spincam, allowing the viewer an interactive, 360 degree view of the concert. Presented in PCM Stereo, DTS & Doldby 5.1 Surround Sound. On September 1, 2001, Irish rock band U2 made a triumphant return to their roots with two outdoor shows at Slane Castle, Ireland. U2 chose the castle venue because it marked two watershed moments for the band: their recording session for the landmark album THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE in 1984, and their first Slane appearance opening up for fellow Irish rock band Thin Lizzy in 1981. U2 GO HOME captures the emotional intensity of the homecoming with 19 live tracks culled from the concerts, including "Elevation," "New Year's Day," "Angel of Harlem," "With or Without You," "Pride (In the Name of Love)," and 14 others. The DVD also includes THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE documentary, which profiles the making of that classic album. What a great gig! It's great to see U2 on their own turf and in front of the UNFORGETTABLE FIRE castle! I really felt i was there - the camera angles and lighting (and sound) was like i was one of the irish!

 a different look..
of the elevation tour, without all that american type of previous Boston Video. If you have the Boston Video, you should buy this one, to see two sides of the same story...

 Awesome Show, Great Sound
Even if you're not a U2 fan this is a great performance captured live that you can enjoy. I am a huge fan of good live performances and this DVD captures it well. The 5.1 sound is on point. Buy this DVD if you like great, high quality performances with excellent sound!

This is one of the best concert DVD's ever.U2 puts forth so much heart and soul in this show,you'd swear you were there in person.A must have for all U2 fans.Definately should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year,in my never to be humble opinion.
