Filmed on Sept. 1, 2001, "U2 Go Home" is the first ever release to feature U2 playing to a home crowd in Ireland. Following an 80 date sell-out world tour, U2 headed home for two extraordinary outdoor shows at Slane Castle in Ireland, where the band played to a total of over 160,000 people. I am a huge U2 fan, so I had to buy this DVD. A assumed that is would be similar to the last DVD they released. I am glad to say that my assumptions were wrong! The band brings an energy to this performance, like we have never seen before. The fact that they were returning to such a historic venue combined with the recent death of Bono's father makes this an emotional and unforgetable performance. The real treat for any U2 fan is the bonus documentary from the early 80's during the recording sessions for Unforgetable fire. Seeing the dynamic of the band during the creative process is really interesting. This is definitly worth the money!

One of the DVD you WANT TO HAVE in your collection. Has 20 of the all time favorite U2 Songs performed in front of the beautiful Slane Castle in Ireland.

Other bands perform. U2 gives their soul,love and compassion in their performances along with their great music.. Bono doesn't have to strip or dance or make faces -- he just sings and connects from some beautiful holy place that only U2 comes from.. My only criticism of U2 Go Home is I would have loved more "extras", new interviews with the band, etc. The extra with his daughter was precious, I love his family though I don't know them..

I've seen a lot of live concerts on DVD...but none capture the raw spirit like this one does. U2 rocks from the get-go and never lets up. I don't know how many people were there, but they formed one huge mosh pit...it's striking to see and "feel". The band and the crowd are "one"...and it comes across as a true love affair from start to finish. Amazing concert...

I'm 52 years old and admit I knew little about the band U2, but while walking through an electronics store yesterday I heard a song, from across the store, that stopped me in my tracks! On a big-screen TV, the DVD Go Home: Live from Slane Castle, Ireland, was playing and the song was, "Beautiful Day." I tried to buy the DVD but the store didn't sell it; the disc was being played to sell the television.
Since yesterday, I have learned more about the band, and its members, and must now profess that I am now a fan. Today, as I listen to the music and specifically the song, "Beautiful Day" the image of one of my grandsons stays with me and I can't get the music out of my head! And that's a good thing!
To the band, thank you for the music - and for what you do for the rest of us, God Bless You.

In DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY, Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn team up once again (following STARSKY & HUTCH) for another comic romp. While hilariously satirizing modern-day gym culture, the film also celebrates a sport that has previously been relegated to the elementary school playground.
