She is a woman of several qualities, talents, and gifts. Even through the storms, Diana has stood strong. She has five children, one of whom has been handicapped since birth due to a seizure disorder and Autism. That did not destroy her, but has made her stronger and has helped her become the woman that she is today; always joyful, hopeful, and passionate in everything she does. In spite of the storms and waves of life, her faith is steadfast and God’s hand is always near. She was born in Brooklyn New York and grew up in the city of Miami Florida. At the age of sixteen she began a career in cosmetology working in prestigious parlors. She has maintained her license and has continued her knowledge in the area of cosmetology to this day. The inspiration of her faith came through her grandmother, Celenia Irizarry, who prayed for Diana until she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of eighteen in a small Pentecostal church. During that time, Diana moved from Miami to Haines City, Florida. At this time, she took the opportunity to complete a degree at Southeastern University. With a burning hunger and a desire to share the Word of God, she majored in theology and music education. In 1989 Diana worked in the area of drug rehabilitation, \"Christ is the Answer\", together with Pastor Sammy Vega and then in the Ministry of Singles and of Children at New Song Assemblies of God. While at the Southeastern University in Lakeland Florida, she met Larry Carpenter who today is a Major in the United States Army. She married Larry in 1991.It is her love for music that stirred in her the desire to join the University chorus; which gave her the opportunity to travel and sing in different Churches. In 1994 she performed live in the production of the \"Hallelujah Chorus\", along with Sandy Patty and Carmen. She was chosen as the main soloist in the chorus and ensemble of Southside Assembly of God Church, where Diana and her family were faithful members for eleven years. Diana and Larry received their Bachelor of Arts degrees from Southeastern University. Larry graduated in 1995 with a Psychology major, and Diana in 1996. In that same year Diana performed her Senior Voice Recital in Opera, singing thirteen songs in five languages (Spanish, English, French, Italian and German). In 1996 Diana had the privilege to take part in a concert to raise funds for the \"Wish Foundation\". This organization is dedicated to help unfortunate children with terminal illnesses. In this concert, she sang nine songs just three days before she gave birth to her first daughter. In 1999 she recorded the production \"Reflection Live\" along with the ensemble Southside A/G, where she sang soprano, mezzo soprano, alto and tenor. Diana has organized and participated in various public concerts. One of them was in 2002, the “Latin American Christian Festival\" in Munn Park, Lakeland.
