ROOM TO BREATHE not only represents Reba McEntire's first album in four years, but also acknowledges what her time away from making music has done for her creativity in-between appearing on Broadway and performing as the star of her own sitcom on the WB network. Despite this flood of success, McEntire's stayed true to her country fans by singing songs that touch on the day-to-day struggles of the common person.
Among the topics addressed are the horrors of Alzheimer's disease (a touching "Moving Oleta") and the finality of a busted-up relationship (the Vince Gill duet "It Just Has to Be This Way.") With guest background singers Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski aboard, Reba also looks at the loneliness occupying the void of a broken relationship on "Once You've Learned to Be Lonely." Thankfully, this Okie native balances the gloomier aspects of this outing with downright uplifting fare that includes the gospel shouter "Love Revival," the equally inspiring "Sky Full of Angels," and sibling lovefest "My Sister," featuring harmonies by Linda Davis. With ROOM TO BREATHE, Reba McEntire has simultaneously hit her music-making stride while managing to recharge her creative battery.

Reba does it again If you are a Reba lover, you can't go wrong adding this album to your collection. Room to Breathe and Somebody alone are worth getting it but all together I love the CD. Submitted by Linda (Bayonne, NJ, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Always a Reba fan... I had been waiting for Reba’s next studio album since “So Good Together” for a long time now. “Room To Breathe” is her first studio album in four years and not surprisingly, it’s a quality album. I love every song in this album and my no.1 pick is “He Gets That From Me”. Everything about it is great, the melody, the singing and the lyrics. What more could you want? “Somebody” is another great song that I can listen to for the whole night! I found it to be the sort of song that just sticks with you. “My Sister” is so sentimental, very lovely. And she has great hits like the single for “I’m Gonna Take That Mountain” too. I’m definitely recommending this album to my friends. Submitted by breathered (Los Angeles, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Reba's Music is Scorching I absolutely loved this audio cassette of Reba's Room to Breathe it was a gift to my stepmother and she called me very excited when she received it we had just gone to that concert a week before but unfortunately at the concert the only music they had of reba's concert room to breathe was all in cd form. I was extremely happy that cd universe carried this on audio for her. The music is riveting my favorite is her song love revival. Reba you go girl keep up the wonderful work you have an awesome voice. Too bad we were unfortunate not to get a autograph i think it would have made my stepmother's year. But love ya love ya great music!!!! Submitted by rose.smith96 (Baltimore, Maryland) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

Room To Breathe
$8.35 Initial pressings of GREATEST HITS included a bonus DVD featuring the video "Blue." The CD also included the bonus tracks "O Holy Night" and "Silent Night."
The American public (or at least the country-music-listening portion thereof) pretty much watched LeAnn Rimes grow up. She was only 13 when she recorded her smash album BLUE, which introduced the world to a remarkably precocious talent whose voice was on a par with that of Patsy Cline. Ever since then, she's gradually moved away from her traditional country beginnings--first toward a more contemporary country sound, and eventually to a straight-ahead pop approach not far removed from Mandy Moore or Jessica Simpson. This GREATEST HITS collection easily negotiates the drastic stylistic changes of Rimes's career, including a few tracks from each of the aforementioned phases. So whether she's crooning "Blue" like a born cowgirl, belting out "You Light Up My Life" like an MOR queen, or getting ...
