(3 Customer Reviews)
Recorded live in Chicago in front of an enthusiastic crowd, ANOTHER 700 MILES strips away much of the production gloss of 3 Doors Down's studio albums, revealing a surprisingly earthy Southern rock band in top form. The big hits ("Duck and Run," "When I'm Gone," "Kryptonite," "Here without You") are all included here, and they benefit greatly from somewhat looser, bar band-esque interpretations. Lead singer Brad Arnold is a natural and engaging frontman, communicating with the large crowd as if he's out for a drink with some buddies. As a bonus, the disc includes a performance of a previously unreleased song and a faithful cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's classic "That Smell" (from STREET SURVIVORS), which--in the context of the group's swaggering, distinctly Dixie-fried live vibe--sounds completely appropriate.
6song EP Incl.1 New Track & 1 Cover (Lynyrd Skynyrd).
Recorded live in 2003.
3 Doors Down: Brad Arnold (vocals); Matt Roberts, Chris Henderson (guitar); Todd Harrell (bass); Daniel Adair (drums).
3 Doors Down Another 700 Miles Songs Another 700 Miles Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Mediocre regurgitation from an excellent band Although I highly recommend that you seek a 3 Doors Down live album, this may not be the best one. Much of the album seems self serving with 2 minutes+ of just fans screaming, the music is great. However, most live albums that I have listened to have, well, kindly put, MORE music. There are only seven songs on this record; one of which is actually listed as an introduction to the next song. It barely lated 100 miles down the road, let alone ANOTHER 700 miles. Although I do love this band, it was somewhat disappointing to not have heard more live music. Submitted by DBastian (Toledo, OH, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Sound Better Live This is an ep by 3 Doors Down and I gotta say bravo to this band. I have their first 2 albums "The Better Life", and "Away From The Sun" and I gotta say they sound much better live than in the studio. When listening to this album you realize that this band knows how to play their instruments. So in conclusion this ep is worth picking up and is not expensive at all. One thing I did not like about the album was it only had 7 tracks and one of the tracks was an intro. It's too bad they didn't do more songs. Key tracks on this album are "Kryptonite", and "When I'm Gone." So go pick it up and check out their first two albums. Submitted by AJAY204182 (East Hanover,NJ,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Another 700 Miles CD music
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. "Hole In The World" was nominated for the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal.
This 1994 greatest hits package (released in anticipation of the band's wildly successful reunion tour and album) supplants THEIR GREATEST HITS 1971-1975. It adds seven songs, but unfortunately deletes "Already Gone," one of their best rockers.
What's most interesting about THE VERY BEST OF THE EAGLES - apart from the presence of obviously classic songs like "Take It Easy" and "Hotel California" - is that it demonstrates that the band's esthetic was fully formed from day one. Despite the fact that the songs here span nearly a decade, listening to them back to back you could almost believe they were the product of one marathon recording session.
The Eagles' founders Don Henley and Glenn Frey were forthright in their desire to bring then-emerging country rock to new heights ...
| | Guns N' Roses Greatest Hits CD (2004) Remastered; Digipak
Another 700 Miles songs
$10.39 Hard-rock juggernauts Guns 'N' Roses arrived as rock & roll saviors in a dark time of generic hair metal and bloated pop. With only five studio albums to draw from (one being the all-covers SPAGHETTI INCIDENT), nearly a third of the material on GREATEST HITS is unsurprisingly devoted to other people's songs. Inclusions range from a dramatic version of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heavens Door" and an outsized take on Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die" to punk classic "Ain't It Fun" and ...
