| | Crunk & Disorderly: Leaders Of The New South CD (10 Customer Reviews)
This compilation brings together some of the most popular hardcore hip-hop artists from the South, including Ying Yang Twins, Lil Jon (generally acknowledged as the King of Crunk), and David Banner. CRUNK & DISORDERLY is somewhat akin to an audio version of the film SCARFACE: It's a nonstop in-your-face journey through the darkest, most violent, sociopathic aspects of the gangsta aesthetic. Not only do you find the likes of Pastor Troy and Lil Flip rapping about shooting anybody that gets in their way, you actually hear the gunshots. The inclusion of two Christmas-oriented tunes amid all the purposeful nastiness might at first seem like a humorous anomaly. Ultimately, though, it just underlines the degree to which the hardcore topics addressed on CRUNK & DISORDERLY merely represent another day on the job for rappers as inured to the mean streets as Killer Mike, Youngbloodz, and other self-professed thugs.

Crunk & Disorderly: Leaders Of The New South CD music
$14.49 ME & MY BROTHER, the third album by Atlanta's Ying Yang Twins, follows the duo's prominently featured role on the Lil Jon & the Eastside Boys top 5 crossover hit "Get Low." In fact, the album capitalizes on that success immediately with "Georgia Dome," a sound-a-like sequel to that inescapable, infectious single. Crown Princes of Crunk, the Ying Yang Twins, Kaine and D-Roc, are all about following ...

$11.15 Queens rapper 50 Cent ascended to the pinnacle of the hip-hop world in 2003, and the latter part of the year saw his crew, G-Unit, drop by with their own ubiquitous single "Stunt 101" and debut record, BEG FOR MERCY. Far from an entourage cashing in on one member's immediate success, the success of both 50 Cent and G-Unit is more of a chicken-and-egg situation. ...
