Choronzon album for sale Product Description
Choronzon album for sale by Akercocke was released Nov 04, 2003 on the Earache (Label) label. One of the more adventurous extreme metal releases of 2003 came via demented British Satan-worshipping deviants Akercocke. Choronzon, the band's third full-length, scurries from highly melodic prog-classical moments to the most primitive, me-smash-'em death metal imaginable -- and everything in-between. Shimmering and beautiful instrumental "Prince of the North" leads into "Leviathan," a highly sophisticated seven-minute cavalcade of surging riffs, clean vocals, and melodic peaks -- only to be followed by "Enraptured by Evil," which, with its simplistic two-note, quadruple-time guitar jig, ludicrous blastbeats, and cupped-microphone vocal belches (brief melodic respite excepted), could be emotionally stunted Cannibal Corpse circa 1991. ...See Full Description

Praise The Name of Akercocke! Probably the most original death metal album available. Though some of the tracks ruin the pace of the album by slowing it down each song is powerful and hypnotic. By Deianaira (an abyss of people)
Good, Not great A couple of songs with less growly vocals stand out, riffs are good. But its still growing on me. By D.T. (Chicago, IL)
Change of label, change of style I have all three albums from Akercocke, and this one doesn't deliver the same blast as their earlier releases. Akercocke moves to a new territory with an emphasis on synthesizer tracks. By a reviewer (Chicago, IL)
