Buried In Your Black Heart Music Burden Brothers Buried In Your Black Heart Songs Buried In Your Black Heart Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) It's about time... I usually can't listen to a CD more than 2 or 3 times when I first get it. I'll put it away and listen to it again in a few months. I like a variety. I listened to this CD for 3 months solid. I bought this CD for friends and family members. It moved me. Vaden (Toadies) sings his guts out. He's not holding back. Taz (Reverend Horton Heat) plays with passion. They have written some heartfelt and ripping songs. Listen to Shadow, Beautiful Night and You're So God Damn Beautiful you will become a Lamf'er. Oh - did I forget to mention that Beefcake the Mighty is the bassist? That's right. Submitted by The Reverend Pig (SLC, UT, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Burden Brothers hit the mark For the past...oh I'd say about 6 years, I have been looking for music. Not milkshake, sort-of music. But real, hardcore, spit in yo' face, tear up your clothes, ROCK and ROLL. Well, last summer I discovered this new band from dallas, who called themselves the "Burden Brothers." As I looked into this album -buried in your black heart- I flipped. Submitted by angel_ch1ckana_2069 (Austin, Tx, US) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Buried In Your Black Heart album
$11.99 The Toadies' first album since their 1995 RUBBERNECK finds the band with a new guitarist aboard, but otherwise stylistically unchanged. This is alt-rock that doesn't sound like all the other alt-rock out there, mainly because the band has a knack for stringing together simple but devastatingly effective rock hooks.
Witness "Motivational," whose "get your head around it..." chorus doesn't really go on for several hours, merely seeming to because you can't get it out of your mind (the concluding drop down to a distantly heard Spanish radio station is a particularly good trick). Perhaps because lead singer ...
| | My Morning Jacket At Dawn CD (2001)
Buried In Your Black Heart CD music
$11.25 My Morning Jacket's second album, AT DAWN, builds on the twangy rock of THE TENNESSEE FIRE, while expanding the Kentucky band's sound in numerous directions. The opening title track eases into a dreamy refrain that recalls shoegazer groups of the 1990s, while the following track, "Lowdown," floats along on chiming guitars and a poppy '60s-inspired vibe. "Phone Went West" features an oddly fitting light ...
| | Dazz Band 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection CD (2001)
Buried In Your Black Heart music CDs
$6.75 Originally released on Motown Records. Includes liner notes by A. Scott Galloway.
An 11-song snapshot of the Dazz Band's Motown stint that includes the not-often-featured "To the Roof," whose origins date back to "Take It to the Woof" by Cleveland, OH-based funk band Morning Maniac led by ex-Dazz Band member Kenny Pettus who's the lead voice on the Earth, Wind and Fire-ish "I Might As Well Forget About Loving You." But other than that, there are no surprises, just straight-ahead digitally remastered Dazz Band blasts that blow you away in CD format ("Let It Whip"'s bassline is hypnotizing). For lovers, "Invitation to Love" and "Knock, Knock" are bonafide heart stirrers and the ...
| | Muse Absolution CD (2003)
Buried In Your Black Heart songs
$11.79 Muse lead vocalist Matthew Bellamy's vocal timbre bears a distinct similarity to that of Thom Yorke, leading some to dismiss Muse as simply a band of Radiohead-worshippers. With ABSOLUTION, however, the UK-based group proves that it's much more than the sum of its influences, delivering a work that revels in the enormity of its ambition, the breadth of its sonic palette, and the intensity of its emotional resonance. Employing a daring mix of classical-influenced piano and strings, metallic guitars, ...
| | Black Keys Rubber Factory CD (2004)
Buried In Your Black Heart album
$9.59 Though the Black Keys resemble post-punk garage revivalists like the White Stripes, and are likely to raise an eyebrow among old-school blues purists, the duo packs a serious blues punch. The minimal sound of RUBBER FACTORY moves on the rickety skeleton of Dan Auerbach's fuzzed-out guitar and Patrick Carney's no-frills drumming, and stays true to the raw, electric blues for which the Fat Possum label (the Black Keys' home) is rightfully famous.
RUBBER FACTORY bears ...

| | Daryl Sherman Born To Swing CD (2002)
Buried In Your Black Heart music CDs
$13.85 One of the finest swing singers of the 1980s and '90s, and a masterful interpreter whose sweet voice sometimes recalls Mildred Bailey, Daryl Sherman displays plenty of versatility on this effort. She not only sings a few standards (including "Breezin' Along With the Breeze," "I Found a Million Dollar Baby," and "I'm Just a Lucky So-And-So") but uncovers some real obscurities, including Walter Donaldson's "Maybe It's the Moon," Mary Lou Williams' "Pretty Eyed Baby," Jerome Kern's "Try to Forget," and Billy Strayhorn's "Bittersweet." The personnel and instrumentation change from track to track with such notable players making strong contributions as cornetist Ed Polcer, trombonist Bob Havens, clarinetist Kenny Davern, pianist John Sheridan, guitarist James Chirillo, bassist Frank Tate, and drummer Joe Ascione. On six songs, Sherman also plays piano, faring quite well on "Happy As the Day Is Long." In ...
