As one of the biggest selling pop artists in the world, Enrique Iglesias has made a name for himself by combining the sensual, overtly romantic crooning style of his legendary father with throbbing dance beats and distinctly 1980s hard rock-influenced production. With SEVEN, Iglesias delivers one of his most high-energy albums, distilling the sequencers, wall of guitars, tinkling wind chimes, and dramatic vocals into a cohesive and exhilarating whole.
The primary author of all of the disc's tracks, Enrique also proves that he is a top-notch pop songwriter, fully in control of his own musical vision. At times recalling everything from the Pet Shop Boys ("Be Yourself") to Ratt ("You Rock Me"), the singer is clearly a great lover of all things radio-ready, and borrows freely from his influences, while never resorting to simple mimicry. In the end, though, Iglesias knows it's his classic teen-idol voice that wins over his legion of fans, and on SEVEN his passionate interpretations are guaranteed to make his adoring admirers swoon.
Personnel includes: Enrique Iglesias (vocals); Tony Bruno, Dan Warner (acoustic & electric guitars); Adam Phillips, Charles Fearing, Alexander Ander (guitar); Fernando Garibay (guitar, keyboards, programming); David Siegel, Charlie Judge (keyboards); Rob Davis (bass, programming); John Reed (bass); Brian Rawling (drums); Paul Barry, Steve Lee, Sylvia Mason-James, Jason Paige (background vocals).
Producers: Mark Taylor, Enrique Iglesias, Alexander, Rob Davis, Steve Morales.

Enrique Iglesias Seven Songs Seven Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Not his best work I am a HUGE Enrique fan, but this is not my favorite ablum. I think he is extremely talented but he has got relly far way from where his music has frst come from. I love "Addicted", "adicto" and "Wish you were here with me", but thats all. I will continue to be a huge fan regardless but I was asked to judge the album not him! ENRIQUE I LOVE YOU REGARDLESS PAPI CHULO!!! Submitted by Missie3450 (alexandria, va) Was This Review Helpful? Seven album
$11.55 "Be With You" was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
"Bailamos" was nominated for the 2000 Billboard Latin Music Award for Latin Pop Track Of The Year.
Enrique Iglesias does his illustrious family proud with the spirited, dance club-friendly ENRIQUE. Already having made a well-received resurfacing with "Bailamos" on the WILD WILD WEST soundtrack, this hunky singer has clearly grown up a bit and sounds better than ever on this fully bilingual production. And the Groove Brothers' contribution as producers makes for a winning combination of traditional organica, electronic pulsation, and pop allure.
Enrique lifts el ritmo on high on "Rhythm Divine," declaring the romantic power of the beat to the entrancing sounds of Spanish guitars and hazy electronic loops. "Could I Have This Kiss Forever" is another Iberian-tinged fantasy, only this one unfolds slowly ...
| | Enrique Iglesias Escape CD (2001)
Seven CD music
$12.55 Though Latino superstar Enrique Inglesias is the son of the celebrated Spanish romantic singer Julio Iglesias, his roots as displayed here are set firmly in '80s pop. From the big-beat chorus of "Escape," through the ersatz-tribal chorus and fuzz guitar of "Don't Turn off the Lights," to the pulsating throb of "Maybe," ESCAPE is an '80s lovefest set to a millennial beat.
When he's not busy paying homage to the decade of big hair, however, Iglesias displays his mastery of the family specialty, the love ballad, in such cuts as "Hero," where the trademark hereditary Iglesias vocal shimmer is very much in evidence, and the Latin-tinged "I Will Survive," which combines the aforementioned balladic style with some quintessential Eurodisco flourishes. With a trio of Spanish-language ...

| | Dredg Catch Without Arms CD (2005)
Seven album
$8.49 Early on, critics often described Dredg as a metal group. However, the quartet has since matured into a hard-edged indie-rock ensemble that seeks diversity and refinement in its music. On CATCH WITHOUT ARMS, the band favors highly orchestrated parts, dense guitar riffs, and powerful drumming. Each song ...

Seven album
$22.95 Francesco De Gregori entered the '80s at the peak of his powers with Titanic. With the exception of two amiable but slight rockers of the kind that would often clutter his productions, every track on this record is nothing less than stellar. De Gregori's songwriting is so exceptional that sometimes one neglects how beautiful some of ...
