Closed Captioned; Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; Director's Comments; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re; Behind The Scenes Eli Roth makes an auspicious debut with CABIN FEVER. Taking an otherwise traditional set up for a horror film, Roth infuses it with enough energy and originality to make it feel completely fresh. Five friends, just finished with college finals, head for a cabin in the woods to party and embrace their newfound freedom. There's the cute but uptight Paul (Rider Strong), who yearns for pretty lifelong platonic friend Karen (Jordan Ladd); the attractive, but slightly stupid couple Jeff (Joey Kern) and Marcy (Cerina Vincent); and the brute jock, Bert (James DeBello). While shooting squirrels in the woods, Bert accidentally nicks a man, who appears to be suffering from a disgusting disease. Bert returns to the cabin, choosing not to share this information with the gang. But later that night, when the man knocks on their door, the beast is unleashed. Unlike most horror films which make the horror gruesomely visible, the evil in CABIN FEVER is invisible--and highly contagious. And when Karen begins to show signs of contamination, the bond between these close friends begins to unravel. Roth's blackly comic directorial debut shows clear influence from the early films of Sam Raimi (THE EVIL DEAD) and Peter Jackson (DEAD ALIVE). Theatrical Release: SEPTEMBER 12, 2003 (LIMITED) Cabin Fever Reviews: "...Boasting some beautifully photographed locations, CABIN FEVER still keeps much of the tang of an EVIL DEAD-type indie..."
-- Andrew Osmond, Sight and Sound "...Brisk and efficient....The film is driven by a wonderfully compelling score..."
-- Chris Wiegand, Box Office "...Roth knows his stuff, and he's got enough talent to both effectively pull out all the stops on his gross-outs and smack the mordant side of your funny bone..."
-- Glenn Kenny, Premiere "...A movie that finds an unusually potent blend of dread, gore and gallows humor..."
-- Stephen Holden, New York Times "...Roth caps his fast-moving story with a joke that's as oddly left-field as it is funny, but truth to tell, it is funny..."
-- Mike Clark, USA Today "...It's a blast of good gory fun that just won't quit..."
-- Peter Travers, Rolling Stone "...[The film] effectively mixes sniggers and shudders throughout....[With] strong turns from actresses Jordan Ladd and Cerina Vincent..."

One of the good ones When i first saw cabin fever i couldnt stop laughing. This has to be 1 of the best horror movies of recent years considering the rubbish that passes for horror these days. The People Vs Cabin Fever Okay so it wasn't Chainsaw Massacre. Common peeps. This was titled BLACK COMEDY/HORROR. It wasn't meant to be taken too litterally. The end was hilarious and if you want to laugh you need to pay close attention to the begining too. It isn't for everyone, but I give it a B for blood content, it is a little far fetched but doesn't warannt a lawsuit....settle down there Johnny Cochran. WOW, maybe they should check into this person below me who has so much hostillity towards a little 90 minute film rather then try and get O.J.??? Don't jump into lawsuits yet people, it wasn't great, but it wasn't worth whipping all those involved in it's making either, GEEZ!!! Submitted by Stacey (Manteca, CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
there should be a lawsuit ! There should be a lawsuit against the morons who made this crap. I want the hour and a half of my life back that I dedicated to this monstrosity. I am not joking when I tell you that nothing of interest happens until an hour and seven minutes in. I was happy to see them all die. It meant the torture was over for me. I would be interested in a sequel if it involved the director, writers and producers being taken into the woods (at the same location as the first movie) and then have them all strung up and whipped in front of people who love them (with the first movie playing for the duration of the beatings). As the cars are totalled, the group has no option but to trek through the woods and seek help. Stumbling upon a mysterious cabin, the unhappy campers soon realize they are in grave danger when they happen upon a mixture of grotesque oddities and body parts, soon followed by the return of the freakish inhabitants of the disgusting abode. Cabin Fever movie DVD
$8.05 Veteran slashers Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees join forces in this combination sequel to the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and FRIDAY THE 13TH series. The film begins with a quick recap of both Freddy and Jason's "lives," underscoring their respective motivations to kill and their distinct weaknesses. Freddy (Robert Englund) explains that the present children of Elm St. (including Monica Keena, Jason Ritter, Katherine Isabelle, and Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child) have no memory of him, and if they don't know he exists, he can't enter their dreams to kill them. Ingeniously, he reaches out to Jason (Ken Kirzinger), the brutish death machine from Camp Crystal Lake, to go on an Elm Street killing spree, hoping a lot of gory murder will jog the town's memory.
Jason is up to the task, quickly dispensing with teenager after teenager in suburban homes, cornfields, medical labs and, of course, the forest. Freddy grows jealous over Jason's body count, and so must intervene, setting off a battle royale between the two highly adored ...

$10.29 Turning up the style and energy levels that he kept under a threshold with 1997's JACKIE BROWN, Tarantino's obvious glee and reverence for the underground kung fu action pictures of the '70s, and Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns, makes for a stunning visual spectacle. Employing split screens, slow-motion, an anime sequence, and his trademark ultra-hip musical selections, Tarantino's film dares viewers to be unimpressed.
When her family is slaughtered on her wedding day, a bride swears revenge on her former boss and his assassins. Stars Uma Thurman, directed by Quentin Tarantino. Special features include behind-the-scenes.
After a six-year hiatus, Quentin Tarantino returns to the director's chair with KILL BILL. The movie proves once again that he is a hyperactive visionary and the master of cinematic coolness. Split into two volumes by Miramax in order to ensure that Tarantino's vision would not be compromised (and presumably to sell more tickets), KILL BILL: VOL. 1 tells ...
