$12.59 Right on Time was recorded live in 2002 at the Temple of Deliverance Church in Memphis, TN. These 12 tracks incorporate a mixture of Lee Williams & the Spiritual QC's' urban contemporary soul vocal arrangements, augmented musically by synth strings, organ, and the occasional use of a wah-wah pedal. All the songs ...

| | Vanessa Amorosi Power CD (2000) Bonus Track; Japan
Bless Me CD music
$40.89 POWER is 14-track release by pop singer Vanessa Amorosi features "U R Mine" and "I Wanna Be Your Everything."
Japanese version features two bonus tracks, "Rise Up" and "Second Chance."
Teenage pop diva Vanessa Amorosi first came to international attention at the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games, impressing with her Australian smash "Absolutely Everybody." The trend continues on her solid debut release, The Power, where she flexes impressive vocals among a range of standard pop, dance, and rock tracks. Her strong and soulful voice doesn't always sound at home among the more lightweight pop ("Shine" and "How Y' Livin'"), but the strength more than complements the ...
| | Suns Of Arqa Solar Activity: 1979-2001 CDs (2001)
Bless Me music CDs
$14.09 SOLAR ACTIVITY compiles tracks from 14 different Suns Of Arqa albums.
Released in 2001, 22 years after the band was established, this sprawling two-disc anthology collects some of the brightest moments from the deep and varied Suns of Arqa catalog. Those who love experimental worldbeat fusion, the Asian underground, and avant dub in general will want to seek out most, if not all, of the many titles represented here, but fans in the U.S. (where most of them are difficult to find) will welcome this package as the only way to get much of the material represented, as will anyone looking for a handy overview and introduction. The song titles hint at the kind of sonic and thematic variety you'll find here: "Acid Tabla Dub" (mixed and co-produced by the legendary Adrian Sherwood, a longtime Suns of Arqa supporter), "Basant Alap," "Children of Jamma" (presented here in a remix by the Orb), "There Is No Danger Here" (which features a creepy spoken word vocal). There is one cover version, an unlikely but fascinating arrangement of the Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows," and there is one appropriation of material written by Gabriel Fauré, a selection from his Requiem, altered and titled "Paradisum in Dub." By this point in the review you already know what you're going to do -- either seek this album out no matter what the cost, or avoid it no matter what the cost. The former approach is strongly recommended. ~ Rick Anderson

| | Rivercity Seven Pure Organic CD (2009)
Bless Me music CDs
$10.15 Well here we are again, Faithful Listener. One more time around the turntable with a bunch of new songs that will burn into your hearts and minds like the laser burns the disc. Since our previous album, SIDEWINDER STITCHES TIME was centered around synthesized sounds and digital loops, we decided to turn the method on its head this time and center this new release around the good ol' 6 string acoustic guitar. We used real instruments whenever possible, recorded in a real space, with real microphones, played by real idiots. This sort of "realness" and the fact that these 12 songs seemed to take on a life of their own during the writing process inspired the "Pure Organic" title. The songs really seemed to write themselves on this one, and what ...
