Imitation Of Life Two Movie Special Edition Video Imitation Of Life Two Movie Special Edition Movie Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews BLACK 101 This is the best movie EVER!! I love the two movies..I do think however that the Lanna Turner Version is best. This movie was a must for all black children when I was growing up..and I still love it to this very day. Classic I remember viewing the version of the movie with Lana Turner when I was a girl. I remember how my mom cried when Mahalia Jackson began to sing the "Troubles of the world."
The idea of a black person passing for white back in the day has always fascinated me. It is an idea that could still hold true even today.
It was also good to see a yound Sandra Dee, I had forgotten she played the daughter.

Imitation Of Life Two Movie Special Edition movie DVD
$10.29 Taking to some difficult material with a sublimely delicate touch, Italian director Gianni Amelio offers a personal cinematic treatise on mental illness, physical disability, and child abandonment in THE KEYS TO THE HOUSE. Gianni (Kim Rossi Stuart) is a father who removed himself from the child rearing process when his mentally and physically challenged son, Paolo (Andrea Rossi), was born. Paolo's mother died giving birth, so a kindly couple picked up the reigns and raised him under trying circumstances. Fifteen years later, a guilt-stricken Gianni gets back in touch with his son, offering to accompany him on a trip to a hospital in Berlin. Paolo cautiously agrees to the trip with his father, but the reunion is awkward for both parties. The level of care Paolo requires is problematic for Gianni, while Paolo seizes the opportunity to unleash some pent up anger he's kept simmering beneath the surface for the previous 15 years. But a chance meeting at the hospital between Gianni and a fellow parent of a disabled child, Nicole (Charlotte Rampling), presents the beleaguered father with a lifeline. Offering helpful advice, Nicole's words provide Gianni with the glue needed to mend his fractious relationship with Paolo. But as Amelio's film reaches its conclusion, some surprising revelations ...

$13.55 MONSTER HOUSE is a feat of blockbusting filmmaking--a visually stunning, witty tale that is sure to stimulate children and their parents. The film focuses on an anthropomorphic mansion, a haunted house with human characteristics that actively frightens neighborhood folks as it attempts to reign over its inhabitants. One day, a trio of intrepid youngsters, sick of being terrorized, decide to fight back. They are cutely pubescent DJ (Mitchel Musso); his fumbling, chubby friend Chowder (Sam Lerner); and smart-as-a-whip tomboy Jenny (Spencer Locke), who immediately enchants the awkward boys. The local police are no help, so DJ, Chowder, and Jenny are left to their own clever devices, which result in a series of rollicking, hilarious, ...

Imitation Of Life Two Movie Special Edition review
$14.09 Nearly 50 years after Ed and Veronica "Vern" Savko opened their modest California rest stop along a twisting stretch of the Mulholland Highway, the iconic pit stop known as the Rock Store is still going strong thanks to the motorcyclists and drivers who have kept the tradition of the Sunday drive going strong years after it went out of style. It was shortly after the end of World War II, when the United States' economy was booming, that Americans truly fell in love with the automobile. Each Sunday, families would pile into the car for a leisurely drive. A cornerstone of that tradition was the roadside pit stop, small "mom and pop" style stores where families could stop and get a hearty meal during their relaxing day trip. Eventually, progress and want of convenience drove the vast majority of these independent stores out of business--but not all of them. Ed and Vern have been the owners and operators of the Rock Store since the early 1960s, and most local motorists couldn't imagine a drive though Southern California's Santa Monica Mountains without a stop at this thriving ...
