Standard Screen; Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; Behind The Scenes Veteran slashers Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees join forces in this combination sequel to the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and FRIDAY THE 13TH series. The film begins with a quick recap of both Freddy and Jason's "lives," underscoring their respective motivations to kill and their distinct weaknesses. Freddy (Robert Englund) explains that the present children of Elm St. (including Monica Keena, Jason Ritter, Katherine Isabelle, and Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child) have no memory of him, and if they don't know he exists, he can't enter their dreams to kill them. Ingeniously, he reaches out to Jason (Ken Kirzinger), the brutish death machine from Camp Crystal Lake, to go on an Elm Street killing spree, hoping a lot of gory murder will jog the town's memory.
Jason is up to the task, quickly dispensing with teenager after teenager in suburban homes, cornfields, medical labs and, of course, the forest. Freddy grows jealous over Jason's body count, and so must intervene, setting off a battle royale between the two highly adored slasher heroes across dreamworlds and realities. In another post-modern twist, a character seemingly modeled after Jay from Kevin Smith's films appears in the movie, adding both a comedic element and another level of reality vs. fiction. FREDDY VS. JASON employs a variety of special effects to update these undying series, not the least of which is uniting their once disparate stories. Theatrical Release Date: August 15, 2003 Freddy vs. Jason Reviews: "...The sequences set in Jason's dreams are ingenious..."

Freddy vs. Jason review
$7.35 Twenty years after the original HALLOWEEN, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), now the headmistress of a Northern California private school under an assumed name, is still struggling with the terrifying memories of the psychotic killer Michael Myers. That horror becomes a reality once again when Michael returns, embarking on a murderous roadtrip from Illinois to California, killing three more people and stealing a victim's car before threatening the lives of Laurie's rebellious son (Josh Hartnett), his girlfriend (Michelle Williams), and the school security guard (LL Cool J). It's up to Laurie to conquer her internal demons and end Michael's evil. And a conveniently placed ax might just help her accomplish the task....

Freddy vs. Jason movie DVD
$7.95 A dispute between scientists over cryogenically freezing maniacal killer Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder) or researching his amazingly regenerative tissue is literally cut short when Jason hacks up the research staff. Trapping herself in the cryogenic chamber with him, Rowan (Lexa Doig) freezes Jason, halting his rampage. Four hundred years later the two are discovered by the student research craft Grendel. Both scientist and her subject are revived in space in the year 2455 when Earth has been destroyed, but Jason Voorhees proves what horror fans have known for years, that his killing spree continues indefinitely. Slaughtering most of the crew, Jason does meet his equal in a feminine android (Lisa Ryder) only to receive an upgrade making this veteran killing machine of 10 movies an even more unstoppable force.
Although 2455 seems no different from the 2002 release date of this tenth film in the FRIDAY THE 13TH series, JASON X does breathe life into the long-running horror series with computer generated effects and a witty script by Todd Farmer. Some clever self-referencing is particularly effective in a virtual reality segment that confuses Jason and, of course, an ending that leaves an opening for yet another entry.

$10.35 In UNDERWORLD, a dark and Gothic monster action movie, vampires and lycans--an ancient form of werewolf--are at war. While the vampires inhabit a gigantic castle that houses their ancestor's tombs, the lycans live underground in a dilapidated sewer cave. Both teams are equipped with big guns, and they are constantly innovating deadlier bullets to gain advantage over each other. On the vampire side, the leather-clad death agent Selene (Kate Beckinsale) delegates teams of vamps to attack the lycans. But when she discovers that the lycans have kidnapped a human medical student, Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman), she knows the worst is on its way. Against the orders of her superior, Kraven (Shane Brolly), who is obsessively in love with Selene, she awakens the most powerful vampire of all time, Viktor (Bill Nighy) and prepares for a massive feud against lycan leader Lucian (Michael Sheen).
Director Len Wiseman offers a tough, fast, and gory addition to the horror-fantasy genre with UNDERWORLD. Impressive special effects show the lycans transforming from humans to werewolves, and the lycans' ability to squeeze silver bullets out of their skin is also rudely fascinating. Beckinsale is captivating in the role of the lead vamp, with her leather corset, pouty expressions, and double-fisted pistols perfectly communicating the glam-action mood of the film.

| | Broken Arrow DVD (1996) Widescreen
Freddy vs. Jason review
$6.99 "Broken arrow" is a military term for a nuclear warhead that has been stolen -- and villainous Air Force pilot Vic Deakins (John Travolta) has done just that. In fact, he's pilfered TWO bombs, in an effort to extract a huge amount of cash from the government in exchange for their safe return. However, there's a fly in the ambitious thief's ointment: Riley Hale (Christian Slater), Vic's former co-pilot, whom Vic thought he had killed when he robbed the bombs. Helping Riley is gutsy female Park Ranger Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis). Together the duo uses all the artillery, ammo, vehicles, and gumption they can muster, as they risk life and limb to thwart Vic and his vile gang. Hong Kong action specialist John Woo propels the film through trains, Humvees, exploding helicopters and more.

$7.09 Funnyman "Weird" Al Yankovic stars in this comedy as George Newman, a man who takes over a low-rent TV station won by his uncle in a poker game. Newman's unconventional methods for boosting ratings include giving the station's janitor his own children's program -- with spectacularly successful results. Complications ensue when the unscrupulous head of a rival network tries to drive Newman off the air, but there's still plenty of time out for fantasy music video segments and TV bits which showcase Yankovic's talents as a parodist.
