Initial dalliances behind a different sort of camera saw Corbijn taking a nascent stab at music video direction with work for indie-rock stalwarts Echo & The Bunnymen ("Seven Seas"), esoteric pop stars Propaganda ("Dr. Mabuse"), and stadium-filling electro stars Depeche Mode ("Behind the Wheel"). Without having ever seen the music before, Doron played Lecha Dodi straight off the page and gave an innovative sound to the song. Later he asked me if he can take the music to attempt to adapt the song for the Symphony..... Three months later Doron showed up at my studio in Jerusalem with a recording of Lecha Dodi played by the Israeli Symphony Orchestra in concert at the Tel Aviv Cultural Centre.
