Hogan's big screen rendering of J.M. Barrie's famous children's book, Peter Pan. The former Elton John keyboardist's work on M. Night Shyamalan's Sixth Sense and Signs showcased his ability to blend suspense and whimsy, and skillfully paint a scene from a child actor's point of view. For Peter Pan, Howard builds the dreamy world of "Neverland" with harps, choirs, and the occasional keyboard flourish, fleshing out the characters with fairy tale precision, and creating a believable realm in the same fashion that John Williams handled the magical world of Harry Potter. The string motifs he chooses for Wendy and Peter are steeped in the bittersweet confusion of sexual awakening, and the eternally youthful Lost Boys are treated with a light hand, hinting at their enviable immortality. "Howard" goes to great lengths to capture the myth of Peter Pan, never dumbing it down. His is a darker take on a story that has spent years in the hands of cartoonists, and it delivers the tale a much-needed edge. ~ James Christopher Monger Peter Pan (2003) Soundtrack Music Peter Pan (2003) Soundtrack Songs Peter Pan (2003) Soundtrack Music Review Average Rating: (4.8 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews thanks! Great party idea! I played this CD during my son's 6th birthday party. We had a Peter Pan theme and the music was a great background for the games we played. If you enjoyed the movie, you will definitely enjoy this CD! Submitted by toochett (Monument, CO) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

All children grow up, save one....(well, two including me!) oh my goodness this soundtrack is so beautiful, i listen to it ALL the time, and never ever ever get bored of it, the music is wonderful! i love how there is such a contrast throughout the album, exciting and forward music for car journeys such as "flying", and a soothing fairy dance to let you drift to sleep just like a little baby! i took the film round to my boyfriend's house and insisted we both watched it. as the film unfolded, his little sister came into the room having heard the enchanting music from upstairs, then followed his brother sometime later. and when the track "flying" came on, both parents crept into the room and sat down as well, unknowing of the what film it was they were watching, just spellbound by the beauty of the music.
