Makin' Magic album Product Description
Makin' Magic album by Pat Travers was released Feb 10, 2004 on the Majestic Rock label. .2004 remastered reissue of 1977 album features eight tracks & includes original artwork with updated sleeve notes. The second Pat Travers album 'Makin' Magic' is, to many, the best of the man's early albums. Makin' Magic songs It's easy to see why people feel this way. It's a harder rocking release than the debut album - witness the thunderous title track and the classic 'Rock n' Roll Susie'. The album is also memorable for the appearance of one Nicko McBrain on drums alongside long time bassist 'Mars' Cowling. The album's highlight is, though, perhaps Pat's heartfelt message to his own brother 'Stevie'. 'Makin' Magic' is where the Pat Travers story REALLY starts. Majestic Rock.

Don't be fooled by "Remastered"!!! This is far away from a "remastered" CD: All songs here come from very scratchy vinyl! No remastering, no noise correction - nothing. Very poor record. Had this CD in another release, also from scratchy vinyl, but not as poor as this one here! Save you money - don't buy this!!! By Marcel (Effretikon, Switzerland)
Stick To Vinyl I ordered this cd and I was Extremely disappointed!!!! I listened to it once, and I won't put it back into my cd player. This cd has been "remastered" from a vinyl source. It has the clicks and pops still intact. Purchase at your discretion By Bill (Chicago, IL)
Horrible Sound!!!! Dont Buy this... this is not remastered in a real sense of the word, it is not even worth listening too, WASTE OF MONEY(just take 20.00 and throw it out the window instead!!!!!!!!!! By Ron (L.A. CA)
Terrible!!! I love Pat Travers early work but it is sad when the remastering is so bad you can't even listen to it snap crakle pop this is worse sounding than my vinyl copy don't buy this save your money!!! By Thomas (Plymouth Mi)
| Excellent CD! I'm so glad that they're re-releasing these early Pat Ttravers cds! The first finally gives you the studio version of "Boom Boom" and this one has a blistering version of Statesboro Blues. The re-mastering significantly improves on the sound quality and Travers really cooks on the guitar, something which his most recent releases lack. Well worth the money!
