Inept Navy Lieutenant Tom Dodge has been given one last chance to clean up his record. Down Periscope video But thanks to his nemesis, Admiral Graham, he is assigned the leadership of The Stingray, a rusty, beat-up, creaky submarine, that will play the role of the enemy in a series of practice war games. Down Periscope film Dodge's unenviable task is made worse when he meets his crew, an eccentric, incompetent bunch that includes a flatulent cook and an accident-prone electrician. Also, as an experiment in sexual integration, a woman has come onboard to join these misfits.
Dodge must find a way to shape up this motley crew, if he's ever going to prove his worth to Graham, the Navy -- and himself.
Kelsey Grammar plays a wayward Navy officer, Tom Dodge, who is notorious throughout the Navy for having responded to a close call involving a Russian submarine by getting drunk and tattooing "welcome aboard" on an unmentionable appendage. | Going Down
This is one of the funniest flicks Ive seen in a long time. I saw this for the 1st time on a 1st date. It was a great ice breaker & one youll watch over & over.

| Close to the truth.
If it wasnt a comedy, this movie would be a good training film. Diesel submarines (especially modern ones) can really play havoc against a nuclear fleet. But a great comedy none the less. I was on a Qantas flight when I first viewed the movie and I killed myself laughing. Probably because I understood all the submariner Humour though. I think half the passenger thought I was a nutcase!! Well worth the viewing.......especially to those of us that know what a Diesel boat can do!!

I have been looking for this movie for months. Thanks for making it available.Everytime it came on Tv, I always watched it.It is funny and a great movie for anyone to watch.
