Whereas his other 'greatest hits' sets (16 STROKES and REACH FOR THE SKY) dig a bit deeper, BEST OF does an adequate job of compiling all of Squier's biggest hits and renowned tracks on a single disc. Chances are your favorites are here. "Rock Me Tonite," "The Stroke," "My Kinda Lover," "In the Dark," "Everybody Wants You," and "Emotions in Motion" are all featured.
Although a few worthy tracks slip through the cracks (most notably "Lonely is the Night") and prevent it from being a definitive Squier collection, BEST OF proves to be a solid set. For a reasonably priced, meat and potatoes Billy Squier compilation, BEST OF is recommended.
