Amours, Zéphyrs & Sirènes
$10.25 This album is a collection of classical, electric guitar, dreamy, and organ music that I've written. Some tracks are lively and energetic, others are sullen. Some have two instruments complementing each other, others are orchestral.I am an opensource software programmer and student in college. I had always seen music as an artform which was above me, out of my reach. About a year or two ago I bought a Yamaha keyboard as it seemed to be a better purchace then the replacement TV I originally entered the store to buy.On the keyboard I learned to play some of my favorite songs from The Phantom of the Opera (my favorite music) by ear. Soon afterwards I bought a EZ-AG Yamaha MIDI guitar and started strumming away on that. I used the free/opensource MIDI sequencer Rosegarden on my Linux (Debian) laptop to record some tunes I thought up after experimenting with the guitar. After some practice I hit a combination of notes that was enjoyable to others in the house, so after some refinement I recorded it through the computer's MIDI inputs and then edited it in Rosegarden. Some time later I was experimenting on the keyboard when I hit a 'eureka' moment where what I was producing actually sounded like music. Since then I have been using the digital guitar, keyboard, and the wonderful GPLd Rosegarden sequencer to make music. I try to give back to the community by opensourcing anything good that I make. I have recently aquired a EZ-TP digital trumpet and hope to make some music on that. Currently when I use the trumpet I am able to make jazz and eastern sounding music. For the future I wish to beable to buy a Midi Drumset so I can explore other forms of music. Currently most of my output is purely mellodic without percussion (which excludes most type of march music). I also would like to get one of the 88 key Yamaha keyboards I've seen in the stores as on my current keyboard sometimes it feels as if my range is limited (such as in church andtheater organ songs). The Novatoruim album is made up of music I've worked on for the last ...
