One of those rare talents who bucked the jinx of winning the Best New Artist Grammy (which she snagged in 1995), Sheryl Crow accrued an impressive canon over the span of a decade. Starting with this Missouri native's twangy, Rickie Lee Jones-flavored 1993 smash "All I Wanna Do," Crow has made her mark with songs such as the forward-looking "Every Day Is a Winding Road," the pleading ballad "Strong Enough," and the Beach Boys-flavored summer anthem "Soak Up the Sun."
This former in-demand session musician's talents also found her going down a country path by way of a classic duet with Kid Rock on the ballad "Picture," which rubs shoulders with the wonderfully atmospheric "Home" and the put-up-or-shut-up sentiment of the life-loving "If It Makes You Happy." Fans who are looking for new material get rewarded with two versions of Cat Stevens' "The First Cut Is the Deepest," one with a vintage Rod Stewart-like arrangement and a country version, featuring steel guitar. Also included is "Light in Your Eyes," a gentle mid-tempo nod to the late George Harrison.
French edition of 2003 compilation features 16 tracks including 1 exclusive bonus track 'The First Cut Is The Deepest' (duet with Gerald de Palmas). A&M. 2004.
Includes liner notes by David Wild.
Personnel includes: Sheryl Crow (vocals, guitar); Kid Rock, Lisa Germano, Liz Phair, Brian MacLeod, Neil Finn, Dan Rothchild.
Q (1/04, p.132) - 3 stars out of 5 - "A canny mix of tomboy retro rock, looped beats and sharp pop hooks made Crow one of the staples of '90s radio." Mojo (Publisher) (12/03, p.130) - 3 stars out of 5 - "[S]he's unquestionably made of the right stuff." Very Best Of Sheryl Crow Music Very Best Of Sheryl Crow Songs | 1. | All I Wanna Do |

Very Best Of Sheryl Crow songs
$9.99 (MP3 Available for Download) The times were crying out for a pop star like Lady GaGa -- a self-styled, self-made shooting star, one who mocked the tabloid digital age while still wanting to wallow in it -- and one who's smart enough to pull it all off, too. That self-awareness and satire were absent in the pop of the new millennium, where even the best of the lot operated only on one level, which may be why Lady GaGa turned into such a sensation in 2009: everybody was thirsty for music like this, music for and about their lives, both real and virtual. To a certain extent, the reaction to The Fame may have been a little too enthusiastic, with GaGa turning inescapable sometime in the summer of 2009, when she appeared on countless magazine covers while both Weezer and DAUGHTRY covered "Pokerface," the rush to attention suggesting that she was the second coming of Madonna, a comparison GaGa cheerfully courts and one that's accurate if perhaps overextended. Like the marvelous Madge, Lady GaGa ushers the underground into the mainstream -- chiefly, a dose of diluted ...

| | Corinne Bailey Rae Sea CD (2010)
Very Best Of Sheryl Crow music CDs
$13.64 After selling four million copies of her debut album, an effort filled with her precious brand of neo-soul and the uplifting hit "Put Your Records On," singer/songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae lost her husband Jason Rae suddenly and took two years off to grieve and recover before returning with her second effort, The Sea. On the album's opener "Are You Here," lyrics like "Wait till you see those eyes" and "He'll kiss you make you feel sixteen" suggest she's just fallen in love, but the fascinating idea behind The Sea is that it never explains itself, even if there's a new richness in Rae's soft and oh-so-tender voice that suggests something has changed deep inside. As such, the song's "What's it even mean?" question could be the beginning of a love affair or a tragedy, but the following "I'd Do It All Again" is even trickier, as post-argument lyrics written before her husband's tragic loss ("You're searching for something I know/Won't make you happy") take on new meaning . Further confusing the matter, throughout the album the singer speaks of her ...
| | David Bowie Reality Tour CDs (2004) (Import) Bonus Tracks; Canada
Very Best Of Sheryl Crow songs
$18.05 (MP3 Available for Download) Originally released as a home video in 2004, David Bowie's A Reality Tour saw a two-CD audio release slated for January 2010, with three previously unreleased bonus tracks -- "Fall Dogs Bombs the Moon," "Breaking Glass," "China Girl" -- adding value to those hardcore fans who already own this concert as a DVD. In either the video or audio incarnation, this November 2003 Dublin, Ireland show is an entertaining, open-hearted set, finding Bowie running through a generous selection of oldies -- both hits and album tracks, including songs written by Bowie, like "All the Young Dudes" and "Sister Midnight" -- and new songs that hold up well next to the classics. This is Bowie in his mode as a crowd-pleasing professional, playing with considerable charm and skill, offering no surprises but plenty of pleasure: it's not the first album that will come to mind when thinking of live Bowie, but as it's playing, it's hard to resist. ~ ...

| | Le Roux Higher Up: Live 1980 CD (2003) Import
Very Best Of Sheryl Crow CD music
$14.09 First live release for the AOR/melodic rock act, recorded live at the Bayou, Washington, D.C. Sept. 16th 1980 when the band were promoting the wondrous 'Up' album. Tracks include, 'Roll Away The Stone', 'Get It Right The First Time' & the classic 'Let Me Be Your Fantasy'. Digitally remastered & containing never before used photos & sleeve notes. Housed in a slipcase.
Despite sound quality that leaves much to be desired, 2003's Higher Up: Live 1980 is an excellent representation of Le Roux's energetic concerts supporting their third and final record for Capitol. Not surprisingly, the set contains practically all the material from Up, along with a cut or two from 1978's Louisiana's Le Roux and the 1979 follow-up, Keep the Fire Burnin'. The original sextet of Bobby Campo (flute, percussion, vocals), Tony Haselden (electric guitar, vocals), Leon Medica (bass), David Peters (drums, percussion), Jeff Pollard (guitars, lead vocals), and Rod Roddy (keyboards, vocals) is featured at the peak of its craft. Le Roux's versatility is evident as the band flawlessly vacillates ...

He participated in the 2006 Military Idol competition and won first place. Later on, as he ventured forth through his many hardships as a soldier, he experienced many wonderful blessings and opportunities. One of those experiences was a live interview and an unplugged performance with one of the hit radio stations in the Phillipines called Jam 88. 3 back in 2006. He also released a single called "I Come" which was featured on the album "The Blend" which included a lot of famous Filipino artists such as AKAfellas, Kilyawan, and Bystanders.
