| | N2DEEP Unreleased Game 1993: Lost Album CD (2002)
Club Hits 2004 CD music
$9.35 In 1993, when N2DEEP was riding high off of the success of their GOLD album, Back To The Hotel, they stuck a deal and was in the studio recording an album for Capitol Records. That album would never see the light of day until now.Rappers James Trujillo a.k.a. Jay Tee and Tim Lyon a.k.a. T.L. comprise N2DEEP, the Vallejo, California based rap group that debuted in 1992 with the LP, Back To The Hotel. Back To The Hotel would go on to sell an astonishing nine hundred thousand copies earning N2DEEP a GOLD album certification and a PLATINUM single certification and placing them among the ranks of the hip-hop elite.A sold out world tour followed shortly thereafter with other headliners MC Hammer, DJ Quik, and Tag Team. With fame, fortune and critical acclaim, N2DEEP remained successful and did not receive the all too often seen "backlash" against white and Latino rap artists and one-hit wonders (read: Vanilla ...

| | Scarface & The Product Scarface Presents The Product: One Hunid CD (2006) Edited
Club Hits 2004 music CDs
$14.45 Considered by some to be the father of Southern thug rap, Houston-based MC and former Geto Boy Scarface (a.k.a. Brad Jordan) has been in the hardcore game since the mid '80s. After releasing a string of successful solo albums, Scarface has become something of a venerated figure in the rap world, guesting on dozens of albums and getting shoutouts from heavy-hitters like Biggie Smalls and 50 Cent. THE PRODUCT finds Scarface assuming the "elder statesman" role, presiding over an outfit of eager up-and-comers that include Mississippi's Young Malice and San Francisco's Will Hen. With their tenacious bounce and street-life narratives, the Product represent the next wave of no-nonsense gangsta rappers.
The introductory release from Scarface's new Underground Railroad Movement imprint opens a brand new chapter in the Southern godfather's career. The Product, a collaboration between Scarface and talented newcomers Willie Hen and Young Malice, does what so many other Scarface releases couldn't: live up to the man's legend. One Hunid is dirty, grimy, street-level, and doesn't give a damn about what radio is doing, but more than anything, it's a lyric-lover's dream and often delivers its urban survival stories with poignant regret. Bleak and mature are two other adjectives you can throw at the album, but One Hunid is not without its reckless hunger and hedonism. Kick-off single "I'm A" breaks down the door like a dirty Westside Connection club track while the Alchemist's loopy backing track makes "G Type" a head-bobber of the highest order. Weekends were made for tracks like these, but what gives the album legs are the numerous soul-searching numbers that contrast fatherhood and family with gangsta lifestyle and how crime has consequences but it's the only way to get the family clan on top in less than five generations. The well-respected Scarface could have spun his Rolodex and had any number of Southern superstars in the studio, so it's fascinating how One Hunid relies on Scarface's new inner circle with no guest shots and production ...
