Tudo De Bao CD music
$15.65 As a survey of the first quarter century or so of Clannad's recording career, this double-CD compilation is intelligently selected and annotated. It draws pretty evenly from the various phases of the group's lifespan, from their most traditional folk-based albums in 1973 and 1974 to the slicker rock, pop, and new age-influenced sounds that gave them some crossover pop success in Europe and America in the 1980s and 1990s. Their most well-known tracks, and cuts with celebrity cameos, are here: the big early-'80s British hit "Harry's Game," "In a Lifetime" (with Bono of U2), "Something to Believe In" (with Bruce Hornsby), "I Will Find You (Theme From 'The Last of the Mohicans')," and four early-'80s songs on which a young Enya (then known as Eithne Brennan) was a vocalist with the band. No criticism can be levied at the packaging, complete with a 44-page booklet of liner notes. What's more problematic is the variation in quality, as the band changes from an exciting ...

Tudo De Bao album
$17.75 “Oh, I love “DAY OFF”! It has that whole Rick Astley, Lisa Stansfield kind of vibe”Janice Min, Senior Editor of US WEEKLY“Neil’s voice is that perfect combo of the very best of 1990’s GEORGE MICHAEL and 1970’s GINO VANILLI…”TAL HERZBERG, hot young producer/ engineer on projects by THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS, the BLACK-EYED PEAS and MARY J. BLIGE“I love this song…fabulous…and I love Neil’s version”Janice Min, Senior Editor of US WEEKLY said about Neil’s version of “I GOT THE MUSIC IN ME”:My latest release, aptly titled Day Off, (I’ll explain later!) is a lush, unexpected modern musical journey through some of the best loved pop songs of the late 1960 and 1970’s. You will also find some really fresh original songs, co-written by me and my talented producers, including the title track, “DAY OFF”, a fun up-beat track with a summer time “turn-it-up” old school dance vibe.I grew up in Queens, NY. Being neighbors with the families of both Simon and Garfunkel, I loved music and performing from an early age. I followed the path of many kids that love music; performing in school plays, (anyone remember me in Guys and Dolls?) local talent shows, and even local telethons. And in NYC, “local” can be a very big audience! In the late 80’s, I was the lead singer of a Euro-Pop band, BON 21. We played all of the big clubs in Manhattan. In the early 90’s, I went solo, getting a development deal with a major label, being featured on the Sally Jessie Raphael Show. Eventually, other commercial opportunities came my way, and I drifted away from the music scene. When I was struck last year by my need to return to music, I was drawn to those songs that I loved “back in the day”…. great songs that are stuck forever in your heart and mind. “MORE TODAY THAN YESTERDAY”…”BETCHA BY GOLLY WOW”… amazing songs that don’t usually find their way into today’s “cover-driven” pop music scene.Day Off is a CD born from the need to return to my musical roots. Today, I am the successful owner of a women’s clothing company, but I felt something was missing in my life. On my 45th birthday, I gave myself the best gift of all…a day off…a day off to get reacquainted with the musical career I chased for so many years.Day Off is my dream come true. Working with fresh arrangements, by producers Everett Bradley (star of Stomp, Swing, backup singer/percussion player for Carly Simon, & Bon Jovi) & Gregg Parratto (in association with Envision Music Design). ...
