EA's boxing series not only brings a new name to the ring, it's an entirely new game. From a 20-year career mode with six weight classes to four mini-games, Fight Night aims to be one of the deepest boxing games ever created. The brutality of the sweet science is represented with cuts, blood, bruises, and swelling. Gamers use the right analog stick to throw these punches, providing a full range of arm movement. Features Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, and Sugar Ray Leonard to current greats like , Erik Morales, Sugar Shane Mosley (one lump, or two), and coverboy Roy Jones Jr. Fight Night 2004 Games Review Average Rating: (3.8 out of 5 stars) Awesome! This is like one of the best games i've ever played. Better than Knockout Kings, this game has more features, and more ways to play. I would recommend this game to any fan of boxing or fighting games. One reason, its freakin' awesome!! Submitted by =Fallen=SK8R (Yuma, Arizona, American Empire) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
GREAT GAME hey this game is great. I really like the carreer mode. you can creat your own fighter and start on your way to the top. You may have heard about the analog stick but you don't have to use it. You can change the controler so you can fight with the buttons. Don't think that you can just stand there and punch buttons and win a fight. You will get knocked out that way. It also has 4 skill levels so the game will keep you busy for a while. This game is pretty good I think this game is pretty original with the analog stick punches but its hard when you first start playing. Once you get used to it though its pretty fluent. Graphics are nice and the entrances are way cool when you have a whole bunch of entrance enhancements (you have to unlock them though). Career mode adds some depth to the game as you start from an underground fighter to being a souped up superstar . The training thing they got going on in this game is pretty original and adds fun to the game but you might also need some practice before you become a fighting machine and get all the max stat bonuses. I have to say, I love the feeling of grinding the pulp outta your opponents face and making him all messed up. Blocking punches is a (censored), so i prefer using the lean feature. After a few hours of play the comments from the coaches get a little repetative although thats not too big of a deal. Purchasing equipment and accessories for your boxer also ups the fun factor. Ive tried playing online and its not as great as i thought it was going to be; it seems like the framerate drops due to people can use dial-up modems and choosing boxers is stupid because if you wanted to try your boxer from carrer mode, the other person might choose Holyfield or Ali which is kinda stupid cause your fighter would have to be pretty damn good to even compete. So I would stick with one player mode unless you are an online freak or something. Anyway, overall its pretty damn good and I give it four stars. Boxing Has Gone DOWN HILL ! The only thing good on this game is the music tracks, thats the only reason i gave it 1 star... I mean this game, the graphics are about the same as the ones in Knockout Kings 2002... I mean the Boxers fit there appearences i will give EA SPORTS their props on that.. But I Reccomend don't buy this game, if you want a boxing game buy Knockout Kings 2002, cause its way cheaper and looks the same as Fight Night 2004 (graphics)... The options on this game are wack also.. You can't even train whenever, you can only do it before you fight in matches. The controls are horrible too,,, i mean you have to use the right analog stick to throw punches and stuff, I thought games were spose to be comfortable for customers, so i was majorly dissapointed... OVERALL this game is WEAKK!! Submitted by reebokballa69 (Lex-Town, Kentucky) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Fight Night Review, THE GREATEST I have played every boxing game for PS2, from Victorious Boxer (my prior favorite) to the presents Fight Night 04. Fight Night is the only boxing game I have played that incorporates realistic characters with strategy. It is not just a button tapping punch fest where half of winning is luck, like Rocky and Tyson games. Also it has the most impressive knockdowns I've seen to date. In my opinion this game is truly the greatest of any boxing game. Submitted by Derek Edwards (Richmond, Va, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
