Frankenstein: The Legacy Collection DVD

 Typical shoddy Universal pressing.
These are great movies , but my copy was defective with Son Of Frankenstein being unplayable. I wish Universal would take care with thier products. This is the fourth or fithe title I've encountered problems with.

 How many times can a corpse be revived?
Anyone who has connected neck electrodes to a lightning conductor during a thunderstorm knows that Universal's Frankenstein films really delivered the jolt to the monster genre. Even with their unconvincing sets and wild-eyed overacting they still define and inspire the gothic horror film, persisting in the memory like the smell of charred flesh and ozone. Inevitably, rigor mortis set in as the series progressed,but full justice is done to every stage of the grim process in this excellent, cadaver-laden collection.

 Boris Karloff at his Best!
Only Karloff can pull off the role of the monster. Easily his best work (though he never speaks). Great eerie mood and atmosphere along the way. Frankenstein is without a doubt the grand daddy of all horror films.

 the great ones
There are only a few films that make me remember putting monster models together in the living room with my dad and them films in this set has it all. It's great the best set i have in my collection of horror.
