4 stars Hideous Sound, Great Find
Vladimir de Pachmann was one of classical music's great eccentrics. Some refused to take him seriously, however, Arthur Rubinstein said he played Chopin very beautifully. These scratchy old recordings give us a wonderful glimpse of a forgotten performer. I truly enjoyed them. I rated the CD so highly largely because I was so happy to find that any de Pachmann recordings were available.
