Give My Regards To Broad Street Movie Review Average Rating: (3.7 out of 5 stars) WORST MOVIE - I LOVED IT! ** CONTAINS SPOILERS: Macca should count himself lucky that he had the musical assistance of George Martin (see the 'South Bank Show' special about the making of this film), if he hadn't the end results could have been EVEN worse! The music is obviously the films saving grace, but it also shows a lack of creativity, i feel, by Paul just by using his old material. The story (written by Paul) actually makes no sense AT ALL but in the end you realise that it didn't actually need to as it was ALL a dream! (Yawn!) It was fun though seeing wrestler Giant Haystacks with an overdubbed voice and Dr. Legg from Eastenders, who appears fequently. Old Mega Whacky Thumbs Aloft must have been stoned when he came up with this piece of crappola. But as luck would have it, i LOVE trashy films, particularly crap early '80's British films and this is one of the worst! The bit where Paul is dressed all 'futuristic' while a mime artist/bodypopper dances is a stand-out. He looks like a cartoon skunk!
Just BAD on so many levels. Submitted by Wayne Zenith (Nottingham, UK) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

review: dvd should hav dts or dolby 5.1 audio; a lot of great songs cannot be enjoyed because of no multichannel audio systems. Submitted by paco (puerto rico) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Not bad! I was pleasantly surpised upon viewing the film. I bought the album when it first came out, but had never seen the movie. Most of the reviews that I read had been quite negative.
OK, so it's not "Citizen
Kane", but these days, what is? It didn't have the greatest plot in the world, but it was fun to see Paul, Ringo and George Martin together again after all these years. Most of the tunes were pretty good, too.
My main complaint is with the audio track. There were several "scratches" and "drop-outs" through out much of the film.
But overall, I would recommend it to any
Beatles/McCartney fan. Submitted by a reviewer (LaFayette,Ga.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

Give My Regards To Broad Street review
$111.05 THE DARK HORSE YEARS contains: THIRTY THREE & 1/3 (1976)/GEORGE HARRISON (1979)/SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND (1981)/GONE TROPPO (1982)/CLOUD 9 (1987)/LIVE IN JAPAN (1992).
The 2-CD LIVE IN JAPAN is a multi-channel hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both regular and Super Audio CD players. THE DARK HORSE YEARS also includes a bonus DVD featuring song videos and concert footage from LIVE IN JAPAN.
A beautifully packaged collection, this set compiles all of the solo albums George Harrison released on his own Dark Horse label, from 1976's THIRTY-THREE & 1/3 to 1992's two-disc LIVE IN JAPAN. Although this period marked some creative valleys for the former Beatle, his slightest songs still outshine most artists' best offerings, and THE DARK HORSE YEARS boasts numerous high points.
Confident yet relaxed, THIRTY-THREE & 1/3 and 1979's self-titled album are particularly notable ...

$20.89 Martin's relationship to the band gives him a unique perspective (not to mention access to a vast catalogue of multi-track tapes), which results in a shape-shifting overview that encompasses demo recordings, instrumental passages, and snippets from some of the best-loved Beatles tunes. Beatles fanatics will be in seventh heaven playing "name that reference" on this sonic carpet ride, but LOVE also provides something of an "overture" to the Beatles' oeuvre. The SPECIAL EDITION comes with a bonus audio-only DVD featuring the album in various stereo mixes.
Love is the title of the highly successful Cirque du Soleil show featuring the music of the Beatles, currently wowing audiences in Las Vegas. The music for the show, reworked by Sir George Martin and his son Giles, is a continuous soundscape ...

Give My Regards To Broad Street review
$11.35 The Ramones were responsible to a large degree for the revolution that was punk rock, developing a style of short, fast, guitar-driven songs with catchy, poppy lyrics that paved the way for generations of rock bands to come. They stuck by this winning formula over the course of two decades, and RAMONES RAW provides a behind the scenes vantage point from which to view the span of their long career. Comprised of vintage concert and backstage footage, rare TV appearances, and a treasure trove of home movies that have never been seen before, this collection of rare material delves into a side of ...
