| A "RealWorld" Hero
Unlike most of his Hollywood counterparts, who were just cut out inmitations, Audie Murphy was the real deal. A genuine hero transcends time and allows us to feel just as proud today of someone of Murphy's character as people 60 years ago would have been.

This movie was helpful in that it provided an insight into a true war hero's actions. It was just a bit over-glorified, but understandably, because of the war.

With the actor who portrayed himself in the movie is nowhwhere to be found ever (to the best of my knowledge) in all of Hollywood movies.
