This unrated edition of the feature film starring Kevin Bacon, Matt Dillon, Neve Campbell and Denise Richards includes new, sexy, never-before-seen footage. A high school guidance counselor is accused of raping a well-to-do student as well as a not-so-wealthy student. Defending himself with the aid of an eccentric attorney turns into more than he bargained for in this tale of double and triple crosses that includes a rather well known ménage à trois. A seemingly virtuous high school guidance counselor, Sam Lombardo (Matt Dillon), is accused of raping students Kelly (Denise Richards) and Suzie (Neve Campbell). Ken Bowden (Bill Murray), an oddball attorney, and Detective Ray Duquette (Kevin Bacon) come to Lombardo's aid, unraveling a much larger blackmail scheme involving some of the town's least suspicious residents.
WILD THINGS, a veering, breakneck ride, proved surprisingly successful at the box office. It features director John McNaughton's (HENRY PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER, NORMAL LIFE) best talents: sinuous, layered storytelling, racy cinematography, and shocking plot twists. Richards and Campbell sizzle on the screen as they tease, seduce, and entrap. Lying somewhere between black comedy and psycho thriller, WILD THINGS is an unclassifiable, unforgettable original. One of the best thrillers ever !!! I have to confess, the first time I saw the movie I fell asleep half through and didn't really like what I had seen. But the story is not as simple as it might seem in the beginning. Not to spoil the ending, but I have to say, the best part of the movie is when the ending credits start, because then the story all comes togethers and it's absolutely suprising till the end. Great actors, great storyline, fantastic plot. Really a movie you have to see.
I was not all that trilled about the extra's on the dvd. Just 2 trailers, director's commentary and a couple of deleted scene, that really were deleted for a reason. ( = They were boring.) But the dvd is of excellent quality, still way better than any VHS. Submitted by noctrum (The Netherlands) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
Twists and turns beyond the ending I expected this film to be far less interesting....than it was...This is a very intriguing and sensual film set in South Florida with picturesque scenery for swamp and beach lovers. An mysterious web is developed involving four key characters who continue changing the ending beyond the end itself. It leaves the watcher wondering if there are multiple endings or if the one presented during the titles is actually the final one. You decide...Very interesting film with excellent lead performances by Matt Dillon and Kevin Bacon with Robert Wagner in a smaller role that was both intense, tempermental and elegant as he defends elite interests. Wild Things DVD The scheme is far from tame. But whose scheme is it? Assume nothing as you venture beyond Blue Bay's elite beach communities and into the murky waters of the Everglades for a mystery of deceit, sex and greed as unpredictable as a hungry gator. And please, keep your hands inside the boat at all times. Kevin Bacon, Matt Dillon, Neve Campbell, Denise Richards and Bill Murray star in a swamp-steamy thriller about two high school students, the guidance counselor they accuse of rape and the detectivewho knows there's more to the story.

$6.55 In Francois Ozon's SWIMMING POOL, Charlotte Rampling plays Sarah Morton, a prim and proper British author who has written a successful series of mystery-crime novels. However, when she visits her London publisher (Charles Dance) in a dour mood, wearing a depressive pout, and complains that she's no longer his favorite, he invites her to use his vacation home in the south of France as a tranquil escape to try her hand at writing something different. Once there, Sarah receives an unexpected and highly unwelcome visit from his bold, sexy, confrontational teenage daughter Julie (Ludivine Sagnier). The two are instantly at odds with each other, as Julie drinks, smokes, and slinks around the pool topless. Her loose sexual mores and mysterious late nights infuriate Sarah, whose puritanical unease is only exacerbated in Julie's presence. Wonderful scenes of Sarah writing at her computer, her lips twitching wickedly with twisted inspiration, indicate ...

$9.79 The acclaimed New Zealand director Jane Campion (THE PIANO) turns her unusual artistic eye toward the urban erotic thriller genre. Based on the novel by Susanna Moore, IN THE CUT tells the story of Frannie (Meg Ryan) an English teacher living in Manhattan's East Village who finds herself mixed up in a homicide investigation after a severed head turns up in her garden. Jennifer Jason Leigh is her sexually unhinged half-sister and Mark Ruffalo plays a homicide detective who falls into bed with Frannie after she's attacked on the Lower East Side. Suspects include her stalker ex-lover (Kevin Bacon) and a troubled student (Sharrieff Pugh) who's obsessed with serial killer John Wayne Gacy. As the body count rises however, Frannie realizes that the prime suspect just may be the very cop in her bed.
If this all sounds like a by-the-numbers sex crime thriller don't worry; Campion twists the genre towards her own ends, adding multi-layered focus, deeply saturated colors, a dream-like mood and copious amounts of feminist allegorical ...
