A remake of 1987's CAN'T BUY ME LOVE, LOVE DON'T COST A THING transplants its zero-to-hero fairy tale to urban Los Angeles. Cannon plays Alvin Johnson, an all-around nerd who cleans neighborhood pools and builds car engines in his spare time. Unfortunately, these skills don't win popularity contests, rendering Alvin and his friends invisible to the cool crowd. But when the school's most unattainable girl, Paris Morgan (Christina Milian), wrecks her mother's car, Alvin approaches her with a ludicrous proposition: he'll fix her car if she pretends to be his girl for two weeks. She grudgingly agrees, and the very next morning, Alvin is popular for the very first time and miraculously begins to garner the attention that he's been craving his whole life--to the dismay of his now-shunned buddies. But when he starts to get too big for his Sean-Paul sweat suit, Paris is forced to pull the plug. Troy Beyer's breezy romantic comedy features an ultra-popular hip-hop soundtrack that includes songs from Nelly and R. Kelly, and another winning performance from the multi-talented Cannon. Theatrical Release Date: December 12, 2003 Love Don't Cost A Thing Reviews: "[A] smart, funky, thoroughly enjoyable update of the '80s romantic comedy CAN'T BUY ME LOVE."

Love Don't Cost A Thing review
$10.29 In this American remake of the 1977 French farce "Pardon Mon Affaire," Teddy Pierce (Gene Wilder) is a happily married man who gets into hot water when he becomes attracted to a beautiful model (Kelly Le Brock). He begins to pursue the "woman in red" as his married buddies -- who are each unfaithful to their own wives -- cheer him on. Teddy's attempts to woo the model without his family finding out causes some comic confusion -- and making the situation even more chaotic is a female coworker who is attracted to Teddy and begins to pursue him. | | Jimi Hendrix: Experience DVD (1968)
Love Don't Cost A Thing review
$10.05 Jimi Hendrix is arguably (though some loyal fans might say that word is unnecessary) the most talented rock guitarist who ever lived. His songs captured the revolutionary spirit of the 1960's and his onstage presence was dynamic and volatile. Though he died of a drug related incident in 1970, his popularity has never waned, and it seems his legions of fans will never get enough Hendrix action. EXPERIENCE was produced in 1968 and includes a plethora of gems -- from interviews with Hendrix and his two bandmates to a gorgeous twelve string acoustic performance of "Hear My Train A Comin." In addition, the video includes several previously unreleased performances and music videos, including the original promotional film for his early hit "Hey Joe."
