The 2003 version, a live-action film. DVD special features include 11 featurettes, such as "Visit the Darling House," containing an alternate ending and deleted scenes, "Board the Pirate Ship," Through the Eyes of Captain Hook, the lost Pirate Song, Explore the Neverland Forest, Enter the Black Castle, DIg Into the House Under the Ground, lots more. Everyone knows Peter Pan as the boy who will never grow up. Writer/director P.J. Hogan's (MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING) new live-action interpretation of the classic J.M. Barrie tale is surprisingly sentimental, imbuing Peter--played by the charming Jeremy Sumpter--with a sense of longing and a desire to be loved. The object of his affection is Wendy Darling (Rachel Hurd-Wood), a pre-teen in Edwardian London with a penchant for telling dazzling tales to her younger brothers. When Mr. Darling (Jason Isaacs, who doubles as a daunting Captain Hook) decides that Wendy should live with her Aunt Millicent (Lynn Redgrave) in order to become a proper lady, Peter takes the Darling children to Neverland, where all of the characters in Wendy's stories actually exist. The trio embarks on the adventure of a lifetime, flying through the skies, encountering nasty mermaids, and enduring Tinker Bell's (Ludivine Sagnier) hijinx. Along with the Lost Boys, the Darling children take on Captain Hook, Peter Pan's arch nemesis, and his band of pirates. Filled with lush sets and splendid special effects, this film is a visual treat. PETER PAN also stars Olivia Williams as the fetching Mrs. Darling, and Richard Briers as Hook's sidekick, Smee. Theatrical Release: December 25, 2003 Peter Pan Reviews: "...[Hogan's] filmmaking style is a perfect mixture of wide-eyed wonder and slightly melancholy sophistication."-- A. O. Scott, New York Times "PETER PAN is a bright, whirling pinwheel of a movie..."
-- Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly "[A] film that takes its story very seriously indeed, thank you, and even allows a glimpse of underlying sadness."-- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times Peter Pan | List Price | $9.99 (You save $2.94) | | Studio | Universal Studios Home Video | | Orig Year | 2003 | | DVD Encoding | Region 1 | | All Time Sales Rank | 6491 | | CD Universe Part number | 6705256 | | Catalog number | 61023072 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | May 04, 2004 | | Rating | PG (MPAA) | | Rating Reason | adventure action sequences and peril | | Running Time | 114 Minutes | | Additional Info | Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled; DTS Sound | | Movie Details | Color; Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled; DTS Sound; Widescreen Edition |

Just another review This remake of Peter Pan brings a new side of the classical story tale to life. The director P.J. Hogan has done an excellent job bringing this story to life. The actors who play peter pan (Jeremey Sumpter) Wendy Darlng (Rachel Hurd-wood) show real emotions and add the 'special touches' all my friends who watched it told at least one person to go watch it.
The movie which was filmed here in australia on the gold coast has amazingly real settings and backgrounds
If you haven't seen this film yet i reccomend you do.
Rated 4.75 Submitted by a reviewer (Australia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Magical Peter Pan, I imagine this verion is close to the original story. The Mermaids are evil, the Indians are almost only a mention, and much more violence that I expected. I had to check the back of the box to make sure I was watching a PG movie and not a PG-13.
The imagery and music make it a magical movie to view.
Great performances by the people who portrayed Hook, Wendy, Peter Pan and even Nana. Submitted by Scapp70 (New York) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful. This review is for a different format.

$23.45 Co-helmed by WALL-E director Andrew Stanton, FINDING NEMO follows Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks), an overprotective clown fish father, as he desperately searches the farthest reaches of the sea for his missing son Nemo. Marlin's journey leads him beyond the Great Barrier Reef into deeper and darker waters, where he meets Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), a forgetful yet optimistic blue tang, and a number of not-so-friendly--and often very hungry--aquatic creatures. Meanwhile, little Nemo finds himself in a dentist's fish tank in Syndey, Australia, along with other underwater captives, including Gill (Willem Dafoe), the group's scarred Moorish idol leader. As Nemo works with his new friends on a plan to escape their tank, Marlin and Dory swim closer, but they'll need more than just fins to get into the dentist's office.
This fifth computer-animated outing by Pixar continues the company's remarkable winning streak that began with TOY STORY. Like other Pixar films, FINDING NEMO features a story with heart--this time, a father-and-son tale--and thoroughly charming leads--in this case, Marlin, Nemo, and Dory. And, of course, there's an army of fascinating supporting characters, including Bruce (Barry Humphries), a great white shark on a no-fish diet; Crush (director/screenwriter Stanton), a surfer-dude ...

Peter Pan review
$11.79 Loosely inspired by the time-honored Disney theme-park ride, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL is a swashbuckling high-seas tale directed by Gore Verbinski. When Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), an eccentric rogue, arrives at Port Royal, he barely avoids going down with his ship. Soon enough, he's in the market for a new one, but not before he saves the life of Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), the beautiful daughter of the governor (Jonathan Pryce). This act of bravery sets into motion a sweeping adventure involving Elizabeth's childhood friend, blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom); a mysterious medallion; and a legendary pirate ship, the Black Pearl. The Pearl's mottled Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) wants Elizabeth's doubloon necklace, and when she's kidnapped by the ol' salty dog and his crew, Sparrow and young Will must rescue her and find out the truth behind the ship's curse.
Verbinski's PIRATES is a welcome throwback to Hollywood offerings ...

$8.05 Edward Zwick directs this sumptuously designed, action-packed period epic that stars Tom Cruise as Captain Nathan Algren. Algren, a former Civil War hero, is adrift in 1870s San Francisco after the war, a lost soul struggling to stay afloat in a booze-soaked stupor. When he is recruited by the Japanese government to train the Emperor's army, he departs for the unknown shores of Japan and begins training the soldiers in American military tactics. But these skills are useless against a band of samurai rebels led by the proud warrior Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe), and Algren is easily defeated. He is taken to a remote samurai village where he learns samurai warrior codes and ways of life, developing a deep bond with Katsumoto and sharing philosophical conversations with him. Caught between the feudal culture of the ancient samurai warriors and the encroachment of modern society, Algren is forced to choose between his own culture or Katsumoto's. THE LAST SAMURAI is lavish in its dramatic period costumes and intense performances, and will thrill fans of both historical drama ...

Peter Pan movie DVD
$9.79 Based on a Stephen King novella, the psychological thriller SECRET WINDOW is reminiscent of an Alfred Hitchcock film. Eccentric author Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp) finds his life spiraling out of control. With a drinking problem and a cigarette habit he can't shake, Mort can barely function when his wife (Maria Bello) leaves him and he abandons his work. In the midst of his anguish, a deranged man, John Shooter, (John Turturro) appears at Mort's New York cabin, claiming that Mort has plagiarized one of his stories. As his wife pushes Mort to finalize their divorce and Shooter systematically destroys his life, he struggles to restore order to an increasingly insane situation.

Peter Pan video
$16.69 Based on the comic book series by Mike Mignola, Guillermo del Toro's gleefully eccentric film follows the supernatural adventures of Hellboy (Ron Perlman), a cigar-chomping, horn-filing demonic hero enlisted by an occult scholar (John Hurt) to fight evil in the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense. Along with the fire-throwing Liz Sherman (Selma Blair) and the amphibious psychic Abe Sapien (Doug Jones, with the voice of David Hyde Pierce), Hellboy is joined by new recruit John Myers (Rupert Evans), a squeaky-clean FBI agent assigned to keep the big red devil's exploits in check. Things get out of hand, however, when a vicious monster is unleashed by the villainous Rasputin (Karl Roden), leading to events that may set off an apocalyptic nightmare for humanity.
Echoing Peter Jackson's passion for THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, HELLBOY is a labor of love from del Toro, a longtime fan of the comic and its creator. The director's enthusiasm shows, since HELLBOY is a wondrously strange slice of pulpy adventure, mixed with horror and humor, and enhanced by stunning visual effects. ...

$7.95 The final movie in Larry and Andy Wachowski's MATRIX trilogy is THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS. Toning down the romantic and philosophic elements of the second film in the series, THE MATRIX RELOADED, this third installment focuses on action. Meanwhile, Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), and Seraph (Collin Chou) confront the ruthless Merovingian (Lambert Wilson) to secure Neo's release. As the fight for Zion grows more dire, Neo and Trinity embark on a perilous journey into the heart of the machine city, while Morpheus and Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) rush to Zion's aid. Highlights of the film include Niobe's thrilling spaceship piloting, the armored battle for Zion, and Neo's inevitable brawl with Smith, all of which feature amazing special effects. $11.19 This celebration of the piano took place in the lush surroundings of the Swiss Alps. Eight pianos were laid out on the stage, with a variety of virtuoso musicians stepping up to prove their chops, both together and in solo slots. The performances come thick and fast, with works such as Mozart's PIANO SONATA FOR 4 HANDS, Rossini's SEMIRAMIDE OVERTURE, Wagner's RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES, and Bach's CONCERTO FOR 4 PIANOS given a thorough workover. The incredible ...

Peter Pan DVD
$15.09 GO FURTHER is a documentary that charts the progress of an environmental activism bus tour from Seattle to Santa Barbara, led by actor Woody Harrelson. In a biofuel bus burning hempseed oil as gas, painted with scenic and symbolic murals depicting the tour's goals, Harrelson and his crew of eclectic environmentalists--a yoga instructor, a raw foods chef, an organic living neophyte--set out to educate people about Simple Organic Living (SOL), calling their trek the SOL Tour. While some of the SOL Tour's participants ride in the bus, others bike alongside it. Stopping in various cities, Harrelson lectures about how, in the United States, the environment is being severely neglected with paper companies clear-cutting forests, farmers spraying their crops with harmful pesticides, dairies drugging their cows with growth hormones, and pollution from gasoline putting one fifth of all mammals at risk of extinction. The SOL Tour is Harrelson's plea for change. He is asking the public to be aware of these issues, to demand safer alternatives such as paper made from non-wood sources like hemp, and to eat an organic vegetarian diet that will require farmers to produce safer food. While ...

Fortunately for the bumbling teen, family connections have bought his way into the prestigious Aoi Academy of witchcraft, where he finds himself the object of desire for a trio of teenage witches vying for his enchanted genetic makeup: the sexy modern girl Kuriko; the traditional-minded Rin; and the sweetly innocent Yuna.
