One of the finest pop/jazz-oriented soundtracks of the late 1960s, THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR finds composer Michel Legrand matching the romantic thriller's on-screen sophistication with his own suave orchestral score. While many of the tracks impress with their dynamic horn-and-string arrangements (see the dreamy number "A Man's Castle"), Noel Harrison steals the show with his mesmerizing vocal turn on the Oscar-winning tune "Theme from the Thomas Crown Affair (The Windmills of Your Mind)."
Michel Legrand's soundtrack for the Steve McQueen/Faye Dunaway film The Thomas Crown Affair is a lushly orchestrated, jazzy affair that ranks as one of his better early works.
