Urban D. founded the youth ministry at Crossover Community Church in 1996 with just 4 teens. Over the next six years he developed a first of it's kind Hip-Hop Youth Ministry which grew to 200. The adult ministry remained at about 40 as the different pastors were always bi-vocational.In Jan. of 2002 Urban D. became the pastor and the church as a whole began focusing in on reaching the Hip-Hop Culture. A live DJ spins during worship as rappers mix in with the singing. Break Dancing Class, Step Team, Choir, Mc Class, Drama, Open Mic, Poetry Nights, Concerts, DJ and Production Class, and small group bible studies are all vital aspects to developing people's relationship with Christ as they develop their talents. Today the multi-cultural ministry has over 500 people attending services on a weekly basis.Crossover annually holds a Hip-Hop/Urban Ministries Conference called Fla.vor Fest. Hundreds of youth pastors, pastors, leaders, and artists come from around the world to the fest to fellowship, network, and learn how we can better reach this culture. Concerts at the Fest and other Crossover events attract as many as 800 people.Urban D. has recorded 5 solo albums since 1996 and traveled across the U.S., Germany, and Japan performing, preaching, and speaking at conferences. Urban D. writes for Feed Magazine, and also is the chairman and a writer for The American Bible Society's "Elementz Of Life" Hip-Hop devotional series. His latest album "The Immigrant" comes from Peter's writings in the New Testament where he shares we are all aliens, foreigners, and strangers here. Our true citizenship is in heaven. The Immigrant showcases a variety of east coast flavor with Urban D.'s trademark Mediterranean/Latin influence. Featuring some innovative production and incredible guest appearances.

Immigrant
$14.09 In an era when the definition of religious music has expanded to include everything from Christian death-metal to gospel rap, it's nice to know one can still find an album of traditional prayerful tunes. MORE THAN 50 MOST LOVED HYMNS collects popular church songs performed in a sweeping orchestral/choral style that will evoke warm memories of the grand holiday cathedral services of yesteryear.
Perhaps inspired by the sounds of angels on high, ...
| | Stryper Against The Law CD (1990)
Immigrant
$8.49 A definite improvement over In God We Trust, the grittier Against the Law is not only a more consistently rockin' album, it's also much more focused and inspired. The CD's standout track is an imaginative cover of Earth, Wind & Fire's "Shining Star," which works surprisingly well in a metal/hard rock setting. But originals like "Rock the People," "Caught In the Middle," and "Ordinary Man" aren't anything to be ...

| | Kirk Franklin Hero CD (2005)
Immigrant
$9.85 Though testimonies of faith and questions of morality are still at the heart of Kirk Franklin's message, 2005's HERO represents something of a musical departure for the gospel superstar. Recorded with a full orchestra--complete with lush strings and driving horns--HERO is one of Franklin's most musically ambitious outings.
Featuring guest appearances by Stevie Wonder ("Why"), Dorinda Clark-Cole ("Hero"), and Yolanda Adams ("Afterwhile"), not to mention a song that utilizes a Tears for Fears sample ( "Let It Go"), the album offers plenty of variety, and a few surprises, in addition to its large-scale arrangements. Franklin manages to integrate these new elements perfectly into the celebratory and healing music on which he's built his career.

| | Anberlin Never Take Friendship Personal CD (2005)
Immigrant
$12.29 In the liner notes preceding the lyrics to the title track of Anberlin's NEVER TAKE FRIENDSHIP PERSONAL, chief songwriter/lead vocalist Stephen Christian muses "you told me to 'write a song about it' so here's your song." That comment pretty well sums up this Florida outfit, a fiery rock quintet that lives earnestly inside of its songs. Similar to Jimmy Eat World, Anberlin is able to strike a balance between cerebral lyrics and universal observations, between artful compositions and hooky guitar riffs.
Like many of its peers on Tooth & Nail Records, Anberlin comes from a Christian-rock angle, but that trait isn't worn on the band's collective sleeve. While images of saints and sinners abound, only two somber cries for divine help, "Paperthin Hymn" and "(The Symphony Of) Blase," have overt religious tones. Most ...

| | Very Best Of Red Bird & Blue Cat Records CD (1998)
Immigrant
$15.05 Digitally remastered by Eliot Goshman & Ron Furmanek (1998, Taragon Studios, Deer Park, New York).
Red Bird and Blue Cat were the brainchildren of songwriters Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller with help from old-time record-biz guy George Goldner. Formed at the cusp of the Beatles' arrival in the U.S., their success ratio was phenomenal, keeping the girl-group sound alive and actually extending it into the area of mop-top mania that had redefined pop music. Although this material has often been bootlegged over in Europe, this marks the first time it's been legitimately reissued and in real stereo. Although Alvin Robinson's "Down Home Girl" (later covered by the Rolling Stones) and Ellie Greenwich's minor pop masterpiece "You Don't Know" are conspicuously missing, this 15-track collection brings together all the notable tracks from the Dixie ...
