Mensajes De Fe
$28.99 THE BEATLES ANTHOLOGY is a collection of rare and unreleased Beatles recordings; a companion book and 10-hour video are also planned. Among the material on the first volume are recordings by The Quarry Men (a band that featured a teen-aged John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison); five songs from the Beatles' unsuccessful audition for Decca Records on January 1, 1962; live tracks from various television appearances; and alternate versions of several early Beatles songs. THE BEATLES ANTHOLOGY: 1 also includes "Free As A Bird," the band's first new recording in 25 years. Written by the late John Lennon, the song was recorded in 1994 by the three surviving Beatles, using Lennon's lead vocal and piano track from a ...

Suicide: Martin Rev, Allen Vega. Suicide: Alan Vega (vocals); Martin Rev (synthesizer). Includes a bonus disc of live recordings. Suicide: Alan Vega (vocals); Martin Rev (keyboards). Proof that punk was more about attitude than a raw, guitar-driven sound, Suicide's self-titled debut set the duo apart from the rest of the style's self-proclaimed outsiders. Over the course of seven songs, Martin Rev's dense, unnerving electronics -- including a menacing synth bass, a drum machine that sounds like an idling motorcycle, and harshly hypnotic ...

Mensajes De Fe
$11.29 The Panicks were an Ohio-based garage band who played clubs across the state and occasionally ventured into Indiana and Pennsylvania, as well as recording two small-label singles during their 1965-1968 life span. Since the Panicks' official catalog consists of a mere four songs, the folks at Gear Fab Records were good enough to uncover some unreleased material to stretch THE COMPLETE RECORDINGS out to 49 minutes. Unfortunately, their desire to offer as much Panicks as possible backfires a bit--of the 19 tracks on this collection, only four songs aren't repeated elsewhere on the disc, six selections are just instrumental backing tracks, and thanks to imaginative sequencing you get to hear "You're My Baby" three times in a row. THE COMPLETE RECORDINGS may have more filler than it needs, but the best stuff here is the work of a significantly better than average Midwest band of the period. "Don't Pick on Me" is a funny tale of one put-upon teenager, "I'm Gonna Leave" is a sharp uptempo number with an R&B twist, "Stoned" is an appropriately bizarre tune layered with lots ...
