Don't know about it being the "Ultimate Dance Music Playlist!" like the outside sticker says, but Best of Hits, Vol. 1: Dance has more than its fair share of campy and slick highlights. DJ Sammy, In-Grid, and Milky offer up the singalong, fist-in-the-air highlights, while Dirty Vegas and Darude get trippy and bring the bombast down a bit. The compilers knew their stuff, and there are enough clever ideas here for the collection to play almost as well on headphones as it would in a club. Most of the tracks will stick in the head for weeks, and the electro-pump remix Pink gets is especially fantastic. ~ David Jeffries
