Lush isn't an adjective that one would have used to describe Anathema in the early to mid-'90s; back then, the British band was often described as blistering, ferocious, and brutal. "On the Street Where You Live," "I Could Have Danced All Night," "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face," each has been sung so many times by so many performers that it's easy to forget who laid down the definitive versions.
